Cardueae Veroni of Vogelaar (Awg)

Cardueae Veroni is the nicest, easiest Labrador I have ever had the privilege to own and train, all she wants to do is please you.

Cardueae Veroni, Clover is my agility competition dog and at the start of 2020 we were looking at a very bright and exciting future. They can’t compete until they are 18 months, Clover went to two shows in November and December 2019 being placed in her classes showing what was to come. We did One in January and February 2020 when she won 3 out of 4 classes, I was ecstatic and planned a full season expecting her to go through all the grades. Sadly as we all know now 2020 never happened and a year in it’s not looking any more hopeful.

Finally we got going in 2022! Clover continued where we’d left off and got through to her first final winning Lincolnshire Agility Starters Cup. We contested the novice ABC agility competition getting through to the semi final at Discover Dogs in London where she was an absolute star. She coped well with stopping in a big hotel, using the lifts and the atmosphere of a big show coming second overall and getting through to the final at Crufts!

2023 took us into grade7, the highest grade to compete in and our first ever venture to Crufts were again she was a complete star! The massive Arena and audience cheering didn’t phase her at all and after both the jumping and agility rounds we finished third! I couldn’t be more proud
2023 then brought a change for Clover and she started competing with a junior handler aged just 9, they formed an amazing partnership from the word go taking her young handler from running round beginners courses to grade7 They won their first ever qualifier for the YKC Agility Dog of the Year (ADOTY) winning both the jumping round and the agility round! They then repeated this at the next one entered as well as the Jumping Cup, not only did this qualify them for Crufts but also for the team GB try outs!

2024 and what a year this proved to be! Clover and her junior ran their first Champ course, these are the most difficult and only open to the highest grade dogs, getting a double clear
Crufts 2024 Clover won the semi final which took her and her young handler through to the main ring, very daunting for a small 9 year old but Clover looked after her and they won!
At the Team GB try outs they proved their worth and they were selected for the team to travel to the World Championships in Belgium. Clovers daughter Promise also went as part of the Senior GB team! They had an amazing time Clover being the star she is and finishing with a diver in the individual agility and Team Silver!!

She is an amazing little dog, my dog of a lifetime
