Facanvadasz Ambrus was the pick of Amira’s “A” litter. His pedigree is packed with desirable lines. Ambrus conforms to the breed standards and is very much a Hungarian dog in size, strength and stamina. He has been and is a joy to train, possessing plenty of prey drive and motivation. He hunts very well, ranging out and quartering but always under control, he has a stylish point and will hold point as long is necessary. Ambrus vigorously flushes on command and sits to shot and whistle. He is an accomplished retriever, running a lovely straight line and has picked all manor of game and dummies. Ambrus has attended shoots from the age of six months, he has been shot over many times, he works consistently and efficiently in the beating line. Ambrus is also a great asset when picking up.
As well as shooting I fly a hawk with which Ambrus works, providing her with plenty of game to catch. He has an incredible nose and is very intelligent he tracks very well even on bloodless trails; we continue to train all aspects. 2021 has seen Ambrus return to the show ring where he has performed very well being placed in every championship show he has attended and subsequently will be shown at Crufts 2022. Ambrus did very well at Crufts winning post graduate, going on to be first or second at several championship shows.
Apart from working and showing Ambrus is a family pet that lives inside with the rest of my family. Ambrus is considerate and gentle and continues to be playful. Ambrus has been DNA tested and is long hair free, he is also HUU & CA negative. Facanvadasz Ambrus is available at stud to approved bitches.
