If you are interested in using Bruce - please let me know. Fertility will be checked at mating. His recent tests are excellent and fiur times higher than what's needed to produce a good size litter.

We would recommend that the bitch has been progesterone tested to ensure she is ready particularly if travelling (local people may be slightly different) - or we can recommend a vets for you.

Bruce was fertility tested in October 2025 with outstanding results on numbers and motility.

We do also have frozen semen available.

Bruce's most recent litter of 9 was born 17/02/2025 - the day after his 12th birthday.

Bruce has his KC Stud Book No: qualifying him for Crufts for life, thank you to breed judge Margaret Coddington, and Kirsty Jones, (Serengoch Labradors) for again, handling one of our dogs to a superb result of 2nd in Limit Dog at East Anglia LRC Champ Show.

Bruce is a 2nd generation 0/0 Hips & Elbows (With a third generation daughter); He has a clear Eye Certificate (10/25) and DNA clear for prcd-PRA, HNPK, EIC, CNM, SD2, MCD and STGD - he does not carry the dilute gene.

Sired by Int CH Carpenny Scenario, Bruce is producing super black and yellow pups, all much loved family pets, very many with young children; some are in the show-ring, others out working, doing obedience, and supporting families with disabled members.

A proven and considerate stud, Bruce is a pleasure to have around frequently trotting alongside my wheelchair; his sole intention being to please and impress, rewarded with signals and words that assure him he's "doing his job".

He's a biddable boy and an excellent retriever with a keen love of water, swimming, hill walking and accompanying mum for nice long wheelchair walks and beach visits.

Bruce joined us from the first litter lovingly bred by Vicford Labradors; he is black carrying yellow. He was exposed to young children and other animals from a young age and is exceptionally intuitive when it comes to interacting with others (dogs and humans).

In April 2018, delighting us by acquiring his KC Stud Book Number (handled by Kirsty Jones) under esteemed breed judge, Margaret Coddington (Genisval).. Bruce is Crufts qualified for life.

Bruce is available at stud to bitches who are KC registered, hip-scored with a current eye certificate. Additional health tests encouraged. Bruce has 0/0 hips and elbows, a clear eye certificate (Oct 24) - he is also DNA clear for all the key breed conditions, meaning his progeny will never be affected for these conditions.
