It's a hard life being a Buzz!
--------------
Buzz was my 'sticking plaster' dog that helped mend my heart that had broken in two when I lost my beloved Reefa. This handsome lad was just what the Doctor ordered and he too soon stole my heart.
Things were not good from the outset with on going, niggling health issues, but things took a terrible turn for the worse when epilepsy reared its devastating head. His life and ours changed drastically from that moment on and we realised that this was never going to end well.
We made the best of it and Buzz became a much loved dog - typical GSP - fun, loving, loyal and obsessed with me (his mum). He was never far from my side and most the time (if he could get away with it) he was sitting on my lap - not easy to work with a fully grown adult male GSP demanding a cuddle - but he insisted and I could never resist him! He made me laugh every day and he was a joy to have around. But the seizures were horrendous and as they have progressively got worse, we knew this day would come. We hoped and prayed that they would pass and we would be ok for a little while longer, but this time they kept coming and I had to make that dreadful decision to say goodbye to him forever. Typical Buzzy, he was not going to go quietly and his final moments wrapped in my arms will haunt me for a very long time to come.
