Gwen had a fantastic start to her show career taking the Reserve Challenge Certificate at her very first show, Hound association of Scotland, under top all round judge Eleanor Bothwell, from the Minor Puppy Class. She has since taken 5 more Reserve CC's but went one better at Bournemouth under another Scottish top all rounder, Ann McDonald, winning The Bitch Challenge Certificate on the day. Gwen Took her 2nd CC at BHC of Scotland 2011 under breed specailist Sandra Thexton. Her next two tickets came in two days; first from The Hound Association of Scotland (where she was the first Basset to be approved by a vet as a healthy Champion) and the second from Hadrian Basset Hound Club. Her winning streak continued taking a third CC in three shows under Miss Dianna Spavin.
