Ash is a short haired Weimaraner who carries the longhair gene from his mother. Used at stud with a longhair or carrier there is the potential for longhair puppies; with a short haired non-carrier, the puppies would all be short haired, with some carrying the gene.
His greatest success in the showring was when he was one of the two runners up in the Weimaraner Association Puppy of the Year competition. He is consistently placed at Championship shows, despite not being the easiest dog to present to his best advantage. He is finally starting to settle!
