Zane is a gorgeous blue brindle Whippet with a soft, gentle nature and a calm, loving temperament. He is a much-loved family pet who lives at home with his mum, nan and auntie, and everyone who meets him comments on how truly stunning he is in person.

Bred by myself, Zane is the first male I’ve chosen to keep back, and he has grown into everything I hoped for—kind, affectionate and correct in type. Now 18 months old, he is ready to be offered at stud to select, suitable bitches.

🐾 Temperament & Mating Approach

Zane is a gentle, respectful male with a calm, playful nature. When a bitch visits, he prefers time to interact naturally — playing, running, and settling together — rather than being forceful or rushed.

If a bitch is not quite ready, or reacts defensively, Zane will not push the situation. As a sensitive young dog, this can sometimes mean that a natural mating does not occur, even when timing appears close.

For this reason, AI is offered as a sensible and welfare-focused alternative if a natural mating is unsuccessful. This ensures the breeding can still go ahead without stress to either dog.

What we typically offer is for the bitch to visit and attempt a natural mating first, with owners present. If nothing occurs, we are happy to keep the bitch overnight to allow further natural interaction in a calm, relaxed environment. Should no mating take place overnight, AI is then carried out the following day.

This approach suits owners who value temperament, calm handling, and the wellbeing of their bitch, and who understand that successful breeding doesn’t always happen naturally, despite best timing.

Zane has had his semen professionally assessed and has been confirmed to have good quality, healthy, viable sperm suitable for breeding.
His first mating was via AI, which was successful and a litter is now expected.

£250 – Natural mating (attempted)

£370 – Cytology testing & AI included if required

Cytology and AI are carried out at our home by Kent K9 Breeding Services, allowing accurate timing in a calm, familiar environment.

Stud terms:

Two matings, 48 hours apart (if applicable)

Payment due on the day of the first mating

No pups? A free return mating will be offered

We kindly ask owners to keep in touch during pregnancy. As a breeder myself, I genuinely enjoy following the journey of Zane’s puppies and offering support where needed.
