The Irish Wolfhound Club of Northern Ireland was founded in 1971, by several breeders to promote the exhibition, breeding and the general welfare of the breed in Northern Ireland.
The Club runs a breed championship show annually in September, in Hillsborough Fort, Hillsborough, Co. Down, and an all-breed open show in conjunction with the NI Game Fair in late June, in Ballywalter, Co.Down
