Welcome to Banksidereds. We are small-scale, hobby breeders specialising in the stunning fox red shade of yellow Labrador. Our journey began with a deep love for the breed's intelligence, loyalty, and distinctive rich coat, and today we focus on producing puppies that represent the very best of these traits.
Our Breeding Philosophy
We believe that a "well-bred" dog starts with health and temperament. Every dog in our breeding programme undergoes rigorous health screening—including hip and elbow scoring and DNA testing—to ensure we are doing our part to protect the future of the breed. We select our pairings carefully to maintain the athletic, "willing-to-please" nature characteristic of strong working lines, making our dogs as capable in the field as they are calm on the sofa.
Raised at the Heart of the Home
Unlike kennel-raised dogs, Banksidereds puppies are raised underfoot in our family home. From day one, they are exposed to the hustle and bustle of domestic life, including various sounds, textures, and interactions. This early socialisation is vital for developing the confident, outgoing personalities Labradors are famous for.
Our Commitment to You
Choosing a puppy from Banksidereds means joining our extended family. All puppies leave us Kennel Club registered, microchipped, and vet-checked. We provide a comprehensive puppy pack and, most importantly, lifetime support. We are always at the end of the phone to offer guidance throughout your dog's life and will always assist in rehoming should your circumstances ever change.
