For Emma, Labradors have always been part of the family story. Her parents bred Labradors for more than 30 years, instilling in her not only a deep affection for the breed, but also a respect for responsible, thoughtful breeding. Growing up surrounded by dogs of classic type and steady temperament shaped her understanding of what makes a truly exceptional Labrador and those principles guide every decision made at Shadowdown today.

Henry brings a lifetime spent in the countryside, a love of working and training dogs and appreciating the bond between handler and Labrador in both field and home settings. Together, our combined experience gives Shadowdown a strong foundation built on knowledge, instinct and lived experience.
