We (Paul and Suzanne - Affix Pazanne) are based near Darlington in County Durham on a smallholding of approximately 6 acres. I have owned and loved dogs all my life and as a farmer's daughter have never been without them. As a child we always had Collies, Jack Russells, Labradors and German Shepherds.

I have always been interested in breeding and when we moved here nearly 20 years ago it was the ideal opportunity for me to fulfil my dream. I joined the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme in May 2006 and have attained UCAS Accreditation. I have recently had my Breeding Licence renewed and have again attained the maximum 5 star rating.

All our breeding stock have had the relevant health tests required / recommended for their particular breed and we go over and above the required tests in that we test our labs for prcd/PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) which causes blindness, CNM (Central Neural Myopathy) which causes the muscles to waste away, EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse) which causes the dog to collapse after exercise, HNPK (Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis) and SD2 (Dwarfism).

Our foundation bitch Demi was such a fantastic pet for our children to grow up with. She was our first lab we got together and and we kept Roy from her third and final litter many moons ago who had her boundless energy and fantastic temperament and who was my pride and joy. We continue to carry on their lines.

Our tribe are such a friendly lot and it is nice to be able to show people several generations of relatives when they come to meet me and see our dogs and puppies.

We make every effort to ensure that our puppies go to responsible homes and do stress that being from working stock our labs need plenty of love and time, although they are keen to learn and desperate to please they do need stimulation.

I do work many of our labs and pick up several times a week during shooting season. I also now enter into Gundog Working Tests and actually love helping out at the tests, it gives an opportunity to watch and learn and I really enjoy seeing the more experienced handlers and their dogs at work.

Our labs have fantastic temperaments and excellent pedigrees with many renowned Field Trial Champions throughout. Their offspring make either loving family pets, excellent working dogs, assistance dogs as well as loyal companions.
