I am a member of the KC Assured Breeders Scheme.
I have loved dogs since I was a child & have owned Flatcoated Retrievers for 30 years,since I first fell in love with the breed. We moved to Sunnybrae in 1991, and it was a Flatcoat paradise,with 32 acres of fields & a river running through the bottom of our valley. We have now moved to Herefordshire, where the dogs enjoy our lovely garden and nearby woodland walks.
I did not have my first litter until June 2004. Rosie was the foundation bitch of my Bonnyhilbrae kennel. From that first litter I kept Blossom, a lovely bitch with a marvellous temperament.
I first started showing in 2002, & Blossom qualified for Crufts in 2006. She then went on to produce a litter in Feb.2007 from which I kept a dog & a bitch, Breeze & Velvet. I have bred seven dogs which have gained their stud book numbers. Bliss, Breeze's daughter, and Joy, Velvet's daughter, have now joined our family, and both are doing well in the show ring.
I have all my dogs health screened before I consider breeding from them.All my dogs are first & foremost my pets & companions. My main aim is for them to be healthy & happy throughout their lives,& they bring much joy into mine.
