My kennnel name Paluka which was made up of my name Paula and my ex-husband Karl and was granted by the kennel club in 1995.
In 2009 I joined the Kennel Clubs Accredited Breeder Scheme as I believed it was a step forward for the breed. I left the scheme in 2014 as I think it is important to breed from animals that have good hips and elbows, the KC just believe you should score them and no matter what the outcome that is good enough and no longer can you only register 3 litters a year but as many as you want. It is just a money making joke now that anyone with no knowledge of the breed but is able to put two dogs together can join! thanks but you can keep it!
I was also in the past a member of Nth Yorks & Sth Durham Gsd Club, a couple of which I served as secretary. Unfortunately this great club is no longer a show club.
I am now a member of North Eastern Gsd Club.

All my dogs are first and foremost my pets but if good enough I do enjoy showing them. I don't breed very often but when I do I breed for sound body and mind, using the best dogs available which often means travelling to the continent to mate them.

2015 is the first year I have decided to start getting working qualifications on my dogs with Paris giving me an early Christmas present and passing her BH and AD on the 19/12/15, she gained her IPO 1 on her 2nd birthday, she has also now passed her IPO2, KLL1.
2020 Titan and Thalia have passed IGP1 and has seen me for the first time in a lot of years own a long coat Valco.
