MADISON

The MADISON kennel was established in 1986 – my 1st flatcoat was ‘Georgia’ aka ‘Sh Ch Visam Margarita at Madison’ – from the minute she arrived in our family we were hooked. The only way was the Flatcoat way.

All Madison flatcoats are bred for type, temperament and good health.

The MADISON kennel is resolved to maintain and promote the unique qualities of the Flatcoated Retriever, including:-
* its classic and enduring type and style
* its unparalleled good temperament
* its dual-purpose ability

As a breeder I am wholly and unreservedly committed to the promotion of the health and well-being of Flatcoats whether for the Show ring, for working or as family pets.

All my flatcoats are first and foremost family pets - they all enjoy life at the Old Parsonage along with my Sheep, Chickens, ducks and guinea-pigs. If not romping around the garden and paddock they can always be found relaxing on the sofa.

For a period between 2014 and 2022 I joined with Laura Sharratt (nee Keight) breeding under the joint affix LAURVIC.
The Laurvic Kennel was very privileged to have the Beautiful Sh Ch Ballyriver Band of Gold 'Reana' as its foundation bitch.
We bred 3 fabulous litters resulting in _ Sh Ch Laurvic Talking Italian, Laurvic Ciao Bella, Laurvic Foto Finnish, Laurvic Finnishing Touch and Laurvic Out of Eiden.


Over the past 35 + years I have been a total enthusiast of our wonderful breed – I am a Championship Show Judge and award CC's here in the UK and abroad.
I held office as the Hon. Show Secretary of the Flatcoated Retriever Society for 15 years – I then held the position of Breed Education coordinator for 5 years.

Over the years I have been lucky to have had some super and very memorable flatcoats – each and every one of them special in their own right.
