Marianne Brett
Marianne Brett was born in Sweden, where she started breeding and showing small animals aged 12. She worked as a veterinary nurse and later as a dog groomer, and in 1988 moved to England where she for a while worked in boarding kennels. Her first dog was a rescued Golden Retriever acquired when she was 15, and she has since then owned a variety of breeds. She breeds and shows Belgian Shepherd Malinois and Papillons under the kennel name Goldmali, and is proud to have bred successful showdogs, agility, obedience and flyball dogs, professional working dogs and of course pure pets. She is a KC Assured Breeder and has been the Our Dogs breed note writer for Malinois and Laekenois since 2005. She shares her home with her husband John, a number of Malinois and Papillons, one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a Golden Retriever and two crossbreeds, as well as a large number of pedigree showcats. She has 3 children and her middle daughter Melanie is part of the Goldmali showteam, handling both breeds in the ring. Her proudest moment so far was winning BOB at Crufts in Malinois in 2010.
