The latest addition to the household, Alfie has made himself universally popular with the other dogs and has an amazing ability to turn on full charm offensive with humans!
He is a delight to live with and has hit the ring big time. Alfie has now won Best Puppy in Show at Cumberland Canine Association, Reserve Best Puppy in Show at Liverpool Kennel Association and Reserve Best Puppy at The Great North West Charity Knockout. Alfie also has 4 Puppy Group wins, 2 Puppy Group 2, 1 Puppy Group 3 and was shortlisted to the last 5 at Urmston Flixton for Best Puppy in Show. Alfie went Reserve Best in Show at Bebbington Canine Society at just over 1 year old. Alfie has now also won the pastoral group three times and had a group 4 three times at open shows.
Alfie won the Dog CC at Brimingham National Championship Show. This makes him the first male vallhund with a full tail to win a CC in the breed!
Alfie won the Dog CC & BOB at Leed Championship Show. Alfie won his 3rd and crowning CC & BOB at Darlington Championship Show. This makes him a Champion at only 17 months.
Alfie has also gained his Junior Warrant. This makes him the first ever vallhund with a full tail to get this award. He is also the first and currently only vallhund to hold this award since the system was changed some years ago.
Alfie was invited to attend the Kennel Gazette Junior Warrant competition at Earls Court in November 2007. Alfie was shortlisted to the last 10 out of 32 in his ring which was a fantastic acheivement for the first vallhund to have made the competition.
Alfie continued to break records by becoming the first UK Vallhund with a tail to be placed at a championship show in an adult group at Working & Pastoral Breeds of Scotland CH Show, when he took Group 4 at just 19 months.
Alfie finished the year as runner up to the top vallhund by just two points in 2007.
Alfie has now gained his final points for his Show Certificate of Merit. So subject to KC confirmation he is now the only Vallhund in the country to hold all three titles.
Alfie became a father in May this year and his puppies are proving to have his charm. They are settling into thier new homes well and some of them will be having a go at showing later this year.
