Axl was my second Weimaraner and my second "once in a lifetime" dog! Whilst Yaxi was winning Best of Breed, Axl was winning Best Puppy in Breed and he carried on his winning ways from there. However, Axl never enjoyed the limelight so as soon as he became a show champion he was retired.
Axl was a strong dog with the stubborn streak of a donkey - my real introduction to the breed. He was an extremely clever dog who loved to stretch his legs, really covering the ground on partridge shoots.
Axl is the sire of Rockleyan Ringleader (sire of Sh.Ch. Gunalt Wharf at Rockleyan) and Brackabreeze Goshawk (sire of FT. Ch. Quadet Caterin) as well as other CC winners and successful working weimaraners such as Foregun Face Value.
