Although he was born in Scotland his breeders originate from Yorkshire, hence their affix - Ehupits - pronounced as that well known Yorkshire word Eh-up-its!

From the moment we brought him home at 8 weeks old we knew our lives would never be the same again - he is the most enthusiastic & energetic living creature we have ever met! Even at that age we were aware of his strong hunting instincts & he was constantly pointing at everything. His ancestors include 6 Dual Champions (Champions in both show-ring & field trial) - there have only ever been 9 Dual Champions in the history of the breed in this country. He has a huge personality, very extrovert & friendly temperament, & lives life to the full.

Although we didn't start showing Reef until he was over a year old, he's had many good wins, including:-

Only a youngster when he won Reserve Best Dog In Show at the GSP Club Show, judged by Ros Foggin, her critique... "What a lovely boy. Correct size with the bone & substance I was looking for. Beautiful head and soft expression. Sound and covered his ground. Moved soundly".

Reef wins another Best In Show, this time at York Canine Association, judged by John Hicks & Anne Pickburn.

2007 was our first shooting season with Reef, working on the beating line of our local shoot, and his field training is continuing as we prepare for the next season.

Reef is a medium height dog standing 24 inches to the withers, has a short, coarse, dense coat and a perfect correct scissor bite.
