Tia was my very special girl. She is the mother and Grandmother of most of my Border Collies. I loved showing her, as she had attitude and knew exactly what she was doing in the show ring. Her temperament was wonderful, even towards the end of her short life when she wasn't feeling 100% she would allow the pups to play around her and enjoyed their company. She was very special to me, and I feel very honoured and proud that I was allowed to share her life. We lost her to Throat Cancer at the age of 9 years. It is nice to know that her offspring have carried on her good work. Tia has produced four Show Champions, one out of her first litter, two out of her second litter (brother and sister) and one out of her third. (she only had three litters) and one of those produced the first ever Male Red and White Show Champion in the United Kingdom, and I am just so proud that my special girl had the honour of making breed history. Tia also has other Ticket winning progeny, a Grandson on 1 CC and 2 Reserves. I miss Tia very much, but what she has achieved is something that nobody can ever take away and I see her every day in her sons, daughters and grandchildren, especially Fern, Ross, H, baby T, Bryn and now - Saucie .
