Max is a very special dog, full brother to my wonderful Bella (Shuleah Scheherazade of Whisterfield) who was hit by a car and subsequently died in January 2003. He gained his Stud Book Number under Maureen Blanks at the Hound Association of Scotland Championship Show in April 2006 at the age of two. He has a very willing and loving disposition combined with courage and a sense of fun.
Max made a fantastic start to his coursing career, winning the East of England Whippet Coursing Club's Helen Macdonald-Hall Memorial Trophy at his very first meeting in November 2004. At only his third meeting in January 2005 he won another stake, and in February ran up the East of England Whippet Coursing Club's Autumn Trophy for Dogs. Overall in his first (and, sadly, it seems his last) season he ran 11 courses and won eight.
Max gained his Stud Book Number in April 2006 at the Hound Association of Scotland Championship Show under Maureen Blanks (3rd Limit Dog). He is home bred by Lesley Fletcher of Shuleah Whippets in Denbigh, N Wales.
Max is a proven sire and enquiries for stud from suitable bitches are welcome.
