Uschi is a top-sized short-coat B / T with rich red colouration
She has been hip & elbow scored & tattooed & micro-chipped for further identity
She carries the short coat & long coat gene & she has produced top-sized puppies to a medium sized male
She has obtained 14 x 1ST PLACES, BOB, 4 x BEST PUPPY, and 1 x BEST PASTORAL PUPPY
At 5 1/2 months she was able to complete all of the tasks needed for the KC GOLD AWARD, and she could do distance control / aways / return to front position from any angle drop on recall, etc.
Mum is sired by a Mum came from a highly successful show kennel (e.g. producers of Champions & JW winners, producer of the RESERVE TOP BITCH PUPPY 2006, and at the Irish Seiger they were the winner of the TOP KENNEL 2005 in which I was told that the judge had to check the pedigrees of the dogs before them, as they could not get over how this kennel had managed to consistently maintained its type & virtues when put to a wide verity of different males).
Her UK CH father is a SCH II German import who made CHAMPION status in 3 shows (CH status can be obtained by a minimum of 3 shows), who is the TOP STUD DOG FOR 2006 (51 points separated him and the reserve best stud dog!) and who is the JOINT TOP STUD DOG FOR 2005, who has sired a Champion & RCC winner, and who has a pure platinum pedigree himself (e.g. sired by a WORLD CHAMPION).
Her mother was a green star winner, the sister of an Irish Champion and she was the daughter of two UK champions.
In 5 generations of her pedigree there is 3 WORLD SEIGERS, 14 SEIGER / SEIGERIN (including youth seiger / seigerin) places, 10 RESERVE SEIGER / SEIGERIN places and 9 CHAMPIONS.
There are also approximately 44 schutzhund awards present within 5 of her generations.
Her breeder asked for us to purchase her & to agree to a breeding contract in which we had a litter for him, because he thought that she was too valuable in terms of her bloodlines & potential confirmation & producing capabilities to 100% lose from his kennels. As a result she had a litter for him in 2006, and her puppies went to a wide range of homes including one that has made up Champions in confirmation & obedience, one that competes within Working Trials, one that was an ex-army dog trainer and who is training for agility, one that has bred extremely successful show dogs and who is training for schutzhund, two that are in training for the show ring, and two that are training for the Good Citizen Award. We wish all of these babies the best, and cross our fingers that they will be successful within the ring.
*** LATEST UPDATE ***
Uschi’s 12-month puppy updates prove that she has consistently produced:
Excellent Much Loved Pets
Very Confident Dogs
Very Beautiful Pets That Consistently Get Their Looks Commented On
Puppies Have Been Deemed The Most Beautiful & Intelligent Dogs That Their Owners Have Ever Owned
Brains & Ability To Be Successful Within The Working Rings
Beauty& Ability To Be Successful Within The Conformational Rings
One puppy obtained her SILVER GOOD CITIZEN award at 10 months of age.
One puppy has held 1ST PLACE POSITIONS within breed open shows as well as being placed at both championship & open show level.
This same puppy has also obtained her BRONZE GOOD CITIZEN award.
Another has obtained numerous ‘club obedience awards’, as well as regularly being chosen as the top puppy within that class / test
One puppy at 11 months of age is not only a beloved and extremely treasured house pet that its owner has deemed the most intelligent GSD they have ever owned. But they have also now fully trained it as a successful personal security dog.
The puppy with the silver good citizen award has also completed an agility-training programme (walking through a ladder backwards without touching the rugs, walking around a barrel with her paws upon the top of it, and weaving, etc.)
The puppy that has been shown within the conformational ring is being very successfully trained for working trials (has successfully started tracking as well as successfully going over a scale, sitting, and coming back over again on her first introduction to it).
Due to KC rules stating that dogs have to be over 18 months of age to be able to compete within KC agility & working trials shows the puppies in training for this are yet to prove themselves.
Unfortunately Uschi’s breeder placed the male puppy that best represented the breed standard in a pet home, due to his decision that he already currently had too many successful puppies of her breeding. Even more unfortunate was that this puppy was within this litter one of the most people focused, toy obsessed, and quickest to learn a new task, as this also meant that Uschi lost a valuable opportunity to prove that she could produce highly successful dual-purpose German Shepherd Dogs.
The owner of the female puppy that best represented the breed standard has decided that she will have far more fun with her in the working rings. We can’t wait until she is old enough to enter one of these exciting sports, and we wish her owner loads of luck with her.
The owner of a bitch puppy that has her bronze good citizen award who we initially thought was pet quality in terms of her conformational & working abilities (lowest play drive & longest time needed to learn a new concept … but whom went straight to the top of her training class & whom a experienced breeder wished to have a “10th of her drive” at only 14 weeks of age!), but whom her owner decided to successfully show (placements at both open & Championship show level), has now decided that she & her partner find training far more enjoyable than running around a ring. Because of this, and since working a dog takes a lot of time, and because it can be hard to find the time to enter both confirmation and working shows her owner has decided to concentrate on training her for Working Trials. Once again we are very excited about her entering this sport, and once again we wish her owner loads of luck with her.

February 2008 update
One of Uschi’s daughters has moved to America with her owner. She is currently in training for the conformation ring and for Schutzhund. I can’t wait to hear about her success within America, and I wish her and her owner loads of fun and success.
Everyone that meets her adores Uschi’s second daughter, and she is currently enjoying going to her obedience classes. We look forward to hearing tales of how well behaved she has been at her club ;-)
Uschi’s third daughter is also very popular with the public, and she may also go to a couple of UK conformational shows, and thus we wish her owner loads of fun and success. Over the last few months she has been in ‘training’ with a friend’s lurcher, and I can’t wait to see her newly developed stride resulting in her outpacing, out moving, and being placed above the competition within her ring.
Uschi's third daughter can be seen in the picture below her mother
