Douglas is a real extrovert, a party animal. His offspring include Dereheath Pedridot at Dearduenna,
BEST OF BREED CRUFTS 2008 (1 RCC, RBIS at Hadrian Basset Hound Club 2005 Ch. Show) being shown by Di Melbourne and Paul Isted. His daughter Gypsy Potion by Dereheath won a first in Minor Puppy Bitch at the Lancs. Yorks and Cheshire Open Show and won Puppy Bitch at the Lancs Yorkshire Championship Show under judge, Vinnie Ness. Douglas has spent some time in Holland with Tineke Rijsdijk where he has sired several litters which included the winner of BIS at the Dutch BHC Ch. Show under judges, Sandra Thexton and Michael Errey. Douglas has now returned to us, together with a daughter - The Third Kind Simply Red.
At his first show outing since his return to Britain in 2007 Douglas won the Champion Stakes class at the Bakewell Show. At his second outing he won BOB at Driffield Ch. Show and Third in the Hound Group and at his third outing he went Best in Show at the Basset Hound Club of Wales.
Although now a veteran Douglas continues to sire puppies with great bone and breed type - his latest litter of 11 puppies born March 08.
