SHEPALIAN ACOUNTRY COUSIN OF MOORTIME CDex, UDex, WDex (Gypsy)
Gypsy is yet another dual purpose Australian Shepherd having had a successful working trials career. She has also had numerous first places at Championship Breed shows plus one Best Bitch and five Reserve Best Bitch placings.
On 18th August 2007 she won her first Challenge Certificate at the Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show at the grand age of 10 years old. She then went on the following weekend to win Reserve Best Veteran in Show at the Newton Abbot & South Devon Canine Society Open Show
She has been placed in nine of her appearances at Crufts & as she has her Stud Book Number she is qualified for Crufts for life.
At Open show level she has had many Best of Breeds going on to be placed in Group several times.
Gypsy has also gained her Kennel Club Bronze, Silver and Gold Good Ciitzen Awards.
Gypsy has won several Australian Shepherd Club of the U K annual awards including:
Best Puppy in Breed shows, Best Open Breed Show dog, Best Opposite Sex - Championship Breed shows in 1998.
Best CDex dog (Working Trials) in 1999
Best Dual Purpose dog in 1999 and 2000
Best WD dog and Best Overall Working Trials dog in 2000.
Added to this Gypsy was awarded the ASCUK cup for Best Veteran at Open/Championship Shows for 2006.
As a result of her working ability Gypsy is another of our Aussies to be on ASCUK's Roll of Honour (Working Trials)
She also won the National Australian Shepherd Association Best Puppy at Open and Championship Shows Shield and the Puppy Championship Shows Cup in 1998 and the CDex Shield in 1999.
In addition Gypsy won the Special Working Class at the ASCUK Open Show in 2003 and 2004.
Gypsy qualified for CRUFTS 2004 gaining a 2nd place in the Australian Shephed Good Citizen Bitch class. In 2005 she was 3rd in ASD Veteran Bitch & 2nd in the Good Citizen Bitch class.
In 2006 she was 2nd in ASD Veteran Bitch class.
In 2007 she was 4th in ASD Veteran Bitch class & 3rd in ASD Good Citizen class.
In 2008 she was 2nd in ASD Veteran Bitch class.
She will be competing at Crufts again in 2009.
Having produced her first litter of puppies in September 2002 Gypsy has now retired from Working Trials.
