We are very excited about our Norwegian male import Geilo, he is bred from excellent breeding lines in Norway and Sweden. The Norweigan breeders and Norweigan K.C. have very strict regulations for all breeding stock. Regulations for hips and elbows are far greater than in the U.K.
In May 2006 Geilo was finaly registered with the UK Kennel Club, he qualified for Crufts in 2006 and also 2007 & 2008 where he was shown with success.
In June (2006) we returned to Norway for the Norwegian Clubs 50th Anniversary Show, the entry for this show was 60 more than Crufts 2006. We have never seen such large classes of Bernese, they were from all the Scandinavian countries plus Belgium, Netherlands etc and Geilo and our female Uschi the only dogs from England.
We also returned to Belgium with Geilo for the Brussels Dog Show, see results page.This was followed in early July to our first show in France. We entered two shows over the weekend at Douai with Geilo when again we were very pleased.
We exhibit at many shows on the Continent where he has some excellent results in Norway, Sweden, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland and the UK. We are the only UK Bernese breeders to show in these countries.
Geilo sired his first litter on the 20th May 2007, to date (April 2008) he has sired four very nice litters to selected females in England, Scotland and Wales.
