At nearly 15 years old, Emma is now the senior lady of my gang, although to see her dashing about everyday you would never believe her age. After her mum passed away I thought she would take over the role of top dog, but she never wanted the job, she much prefers a quiet life just chilling out with the Cresties and her younger half sister Millie.
Emma was born in a litter of 5 bitches. I had wanted a dog. At 10 days old her eyes were wide open and at 12 days old she was out of the whelping box exploring and looking for trouble! Something that never changed, and in her younger years she spent as much time at the vets as she did at home.
In the beginning Emma was only ever lightly shown in between accidents and disasters. But at 4 years old she finally started to calm down and I decided it was time she was campaigned. It took just over a year for her to gain her title and she finished on 3CC's and 3RCC's. She is now retired from the showring.
Emma is DNA tested genetically clear of CEA and CL.
Emma left us for the Rainbow Bridge on 03/09/08 after a short but hard fight against liver cancer.
Sleep Well my darling, be happy just as you always were.
