Zigi is a very pretty black/white girl with lovely classic markings and a sweet expression.She enjoys playing ball games with the other dogs and was doing well in agility in Hungary and France before she moved back to the UK.
Zigi had a litter in December 2005 and I had decided not to breed from her again because she manoevred to deliver the entire litter within an hour in the kitchen whilst I was Xmas shopping.She had shown no sign whatsoever of being in labour and ate a good breakfast before dashing out to play with the other dogs.Clearly 'shellshocked' by the experience,she had made no attempt to remove the sacs or chew off the cords and was just lying on the floor looking dazed.Megan (Fernhaven Double Delight at Bartok) and I got the puppies 'going' and we only lost one.
She went on to be an excellent mum and all the puppies did well.I did not want to repeat the experience and similarly she never showed any interest in our boys-until last week when she decided to repeat the experience with Tag ( Andslyn Ruby Lad at Bartok) who was daddy last time. Assuming the mating results in puppies there will be a litter mid September. We can expect red/white or black/white or perhaps sable.
Zigi is DNA TNS normal but is a carrier of CEA.
Because of her carrier status for CEA I will endorse the pedigrees of the pups and will require any purchaser wishing to breed to have the Optigen test done.
Zigi has recent clear eyetest certificate and has a hip score of 2/2
