Highcourt Makebelieve of Eveninghill is our sweet Wispa. Mother to our own Eveninghill Murphy's Law (Murphy) and Eveninghill Made to Measure (Amba).
She has successfully reared two litters making her a mother to 13. Murphy made her a proud granny in 2003 when he sired a litter to Fred and Pat Taylor's Pandreft Sugar N Spice (Sugar). Our naughty Millie was one of the 9 babies. Wispa is now a great granny after Millie had her first litter in 2006.
Wispa is a very, very gentle girl who doesn't like to engage in rough stuff like the rest of the gang. Although she will not run after a ball - the others might bump her - she shows her true retriever instinct by carrying Rachel's car keys when she returns from work. Her favourite pastime is lying out in the garden - just as long as it isn't raining. She's a girl who doesn't like to get her hair wet - bad hair days are definately not on for Wispa!
Life can be very cruel at times - we lost our sweet Wispa on 27 March 2008. She had been unwell for the last month and after it was found that she had a mass in her abdomen (Cushing's Syndrome) we made the difficult decision to save her from any further suffering. We are all heart broken but she will live on in our hearts forever and we know she is watching over us and all of her doggie family. She was the sweetest and gentlest dog anyone could ever have wished for.
