Rowan is an upstanding solid black dog, proven sire, carrying liver and ticking (sires all 4 colour/marking combinations) with an interesting pedigree of German, American and British lines, with many generations of health (hip/eye) certificates.
He has finely "tuned" working instincts, being a keen hunter with excellent nose, wide quartering pattern, enters cover boldly, retrieves from land and water and has style on point. He goes beating. He has won several BIS at Companion Dog shows in Somerset in 2007 and will be shown at a higher level in 2008. He is a sound, free mover and has strong bone, deep oval ribbing, smooth topline held on the move, good legs and and strong, tight feet, full dentition and scissor bite, dark eyes, good coat texture and strong hard muscle.
His pups, like him, are highly intelligent, learn everything straight away and are biddable and obedient. Rowan is a keen hunter, but is a calm dog, who gets on well with other dogs and people. He is Cardiac Clear (certified by Dr Peter Darke). Graded FCI "Excellent" at Kilkenny Championship Show June 2009.
