My lovely POPPY gr.gran to Fox; mum to Chispa & gt.gt.gran to Rarde, long coated bl & red. A lovely temperament, now 11years old. In her youth she was part of a pet dog display team & was a firm favourite when the children were allowed to come and meet the dogs. Invariably being their first choice - ALL OF THEM - ALL AT ONCE - and she loved the attention and was very gentle.
At this time I had not done any Obedience, only taught her good manners and living with behaviour.
One of her puppies lived with a lady vicar who spent time with traumatised children. One little boy was so badly affected he would not talk to anyone but would sit on his own, his arms around the dog and chat constantly to her, telling her his secrets. That dog brought joy to that one little boy drawing him back on the road to trusting people .
