Millie is an adored family dog, she has a wonderful temperament and makes a great companion. She is loyal, playful and very affectionate. Millie is great with children, especially my three (aged 8, 11 & 13) and all their friends. She is great with our chickens and lambs when we have them in the spring helping to round them up when we need to get them in at night. She loves to be out with my daughter when she is out riding her pony. She is great with voice commands and relishes walking the Malvern Hills.
Millie is an exceptionally well bred GSP with Show Champions on both sides of her prdigree which include Inchmarlow Geireann, Midlander Sestertius, Isara Kurzhaar Bootlegger, to name a few. Millie is more than capable of a day’s work or is just as happy to lie by the fire after a good long walk.
The stud dog that we chose is Ollie, Katelands CaistealA’Thorr, who is owned and bred by Sue Adams of Katelands Gundogs. We took our time choosing the right dog as we intend to keep a puppy ourselves and felt Ollie would complement millie’s pedigree the best.
Ollie’s dad is show Champion Isara Kurzhaar Innkeeper at Katelands ShCM. We chose Ollie because of this. Innkeeper, or Jack as he is known at home, is the best example of an all round GSP. He is a show Champion, and has always come in the top 10 at Kennel Club Gundog Working Tests in Novice and Graduate, and apart from being a fantastic pet he is also shot over, together with his daughter and 2 sons on 2 shoots during the winter.
Ollie takes after jack, with the special unique flash colour that makes this litter so unique.
The pups will have their dew claws removed and will come with a week’s supply of food, puppy blanket, KC registration & puppy contract. They will also go with a 5 generation pedigree. Sue Adams has over 23 years of experience showing, judging and breeding GSP and is happy for you to contact her to have a chat about the father Ollie or anything else you might want to know about the breed.
The puppies will be wormed 3 times and will be health checked before they leave us.
They will be ready to go at 8 weeks old and will be micro-chipped with all defra paperwork.
We would prefer if you would contact us via phone rather than e-mail.
Also, preference will be given to those with HPR experience. Please do look up what a GSP is, don’t just pick the breed on a whim. They are an intelligent breed who require a lot of exercise, although they are fantastic pets, they do retain a hunting instinct. They do require basic training and socialisation. They do want to be with people and are not a dog to leave at home / in a kennel alone all day. They do need training, and mental stimulation.
