I am a qualified dog groomer and as standard your puppy will be bathed, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, anal glands expressed and cologne applied ready for you on collection day.
Puppies are to be raised from birth inside my home receiving very much love, care and warmth. Both parents have good sound temperaments with typical Ig traits. I use The Puppy Socialisation Plan in association with The Kennel Club and Dogs Trust as a guide to raising all of my puppies. There are so many aspects of the socialisation plan that I have thoroughly researched and I continue to learn and educate myself.
Puppies are now beginning their life in my living room in a warm, safe and enclosed whelping box and usually at four weeks old, but depending on progress, I plan to move them into a larger space in the kitchen which is already set up and contains a cosy dog cave, puppy pad training tray, feeding space and a play area with toys for stimulation. Impressively my previous litters of puppies have been 90-95% puppy pad toilet trained by the time they leave for new homes at 8 weeks old. Italians are renowned for being difficult to toilet train so i am absolutely thrilled with this achievement.
I always spend lots of quality time with my puppies developing a dependable routine which I feel is essential when raising young puppies. Initial first weeks are quiet but as they progress our ongoing daily routine will consist of feeding, sleeping, playtime, teaching basic commands and interaction with our doggie family and human family alike. I believe that the time and effort i invest genuinely does shine through in the temperaments of each individual puppy. Feedback I receive from puppy owners confirms this to be true.
Puppies will be Routinely and Correctly Wormed with Drontal Suspension and Flea treated as a precaution at 8 weeks old with Flick (Fiprinol) which not only kills fleas & ticks instantly but prevents them from reoccuring for a further 8 weeks.
I plan to wean this litter onto Natural Instinct Puppy Weening Paste then onto their Puppy Formula. This is a raw diet and I have carried out extensive research that this is the best a pup can get but if a new owner does not wish to continue to feed their puppy raw then pup will be gradually transitioned onto a high quality kibble prior to leaving myself. A starter pack of the kibble will be provided in lieu of the Raw Food. Mum has also been fed raw throughout her pregnancy and will continue to be fed this alongside her puppies.
Puppies welfare is of paramount importance to me and i will ask for reassurance that your main priority will always be to provide adequate care, protection and love for your puppy throughout his/her life. When you decide to purchase a puppy you are bringing home a new addition to share your life. I try to make this experience as enjoyable and as special as I possibly can.
I am aware that circumstances can unpredictably change so to each new owner i give the unconditional guarantee that i will take back any puppy bred by myself at any stage for whatever the reason and i give a genuine commitment to each and every pup i breed for the duration of his/her lifetime.
From 15th Sept you are very welcome to view the litter without obligation to ensure that you are able to meet the needs of a puppy and that they meets your expectations. We can spend some time discussing the breed traits of the Italian Greyhound so you can be sure of a perfect match and that he/she would fit into your lifestyle.
I do request a non refundable reservation fee of £350 is to be paid once you decide you would like a puppy and i decide to accept you as a owner. This will be deducted from the price.
