***UPDATE 10 APRIL *** Due to a change in circumstances we have a bitch puppy available - she will be ready to go to a very special home at Easter. Genuine enquiries are welcome - please only contact me if you fully understand the comittment you make when you own a puppy that will grow up into a large breed that loves muddy puddles and requires lots of your time and affection. We would particularly welcome enquiries from people who either currently own a golden retriever or who have previously owned one. You can read all about our dogs on our breeder page and the individual pages for each of our dogs. We are located in Bedfordshire. Please contact me on 01462 815287 - if there is no answer please leave me a message and a contact number (preferably a land line).

I am delighted that Phoebe and Rumour's puppies safely arrived on 25 February 2014. There were six puppies all of a good weight (5 girls and 1 boy) and all doing well. This is a first litter for Phoebe and as a new mum she has now mastered the skills of caring for her newborns and is doing a wonderful job - I'm so proud of her.

We don't breed very often so each and every puppy born at Eveninghill is very special to us. We always like to give the puppies a temporary pet names - for this litter we have chosen Murray, Bridget, Matilda, Heidi, Eddie and Penny. Their kennel names have not yet been decided but will all start with the initial "M"

Murray has been booked (subject to us meeting his prospective new owners). Genuine enquiries by email for a bitch puppy are welcome but be warnede we require lots of information about you and your family before you will be invited to see our precious babies. The puppies welfare is my main concern. If you would like to be considered as prospective new owners please send me an email giving some detail of your situation (family, home, holidays, work). Please be aware that we expect all new owners to sign a contract agreeing that if at any time in the dogs life (puppy or adult) you are unable to continue to home them, then they must be returned to us. We also place breeding restrictions on either sex, this is to protect our precious babies. Believe me when I say that breeding is not a money making exercise, but can bring heartache as well as joy.

Each puppy will leave home with a puppy pack, including diet sheet, guidance notes, brush, comb, puppy shampoo, nylabone and 4 weeks free insurance. In addition each puppy will be tattooed and microchipped, KC registered and wormed. I love to receive pictures and emails from each new puppy owner and hope that each one will keep in touch. I offer life long help and support.

The puppies will able to leave for their new homes from around 16th April (Easter)

17 March - the puppies have enjoyed their first meal of raw minced chicken - they really enjoyed it!

26 March - now the puppies are 4 weeks they are ready to move from the safety of the whelping box. They will now move in to the kitchen in a large puppy pen.The older dogs, particularly Grace, are very pleased to have some new friends and keep visiting the pen to say hello to the puppies.

28 March - Due to time wasters we have a bitch puppy available - we would particularly welcome enquiries from people who either currently own a golden retriever or who have previously owned one. She will be available to leave home after 16 April. Please telephone me on 01462 815287 - you can read all about our dogs on our breeder page and the individual pages for each of our dogs or on our website www.eveninghill.co.uk We are located in Bedfordshire.

09 April - the puppies are now 6 weeks old and have developed their own little personalities. They were all tattooed today - this milestone marks the fact that it wont be long before they are ready to leave home. I need to stop the clock - can't believe how the time has flown.

10 April - We are still looking for the perfect home for one bitch puppy - she will be ready to leave home around Easter.
