This is a first litter for our bitch, Alia, who is three and a half and bred by ourselves. She was shown as a youngster and won the Bitch Puppy Stakes at the Paignton Championship Show under Liz Cartledge, from an entry of 60. She has been shown lightly over the last couple of years and has qualified easily for Crufts. She is worked on a local shoot and on our own rough shoot. She is an incredibly friendly girl who simply adores people.

Fade is our youngster, bred by friend and local breederJean Powell (Affix Madreliaths). Jean works and shows all her dogs and Fade has definitely got lots of working ability. He was bought as a working dog and has been attending gundog classes from 16 weeks. He is entered into Gundog Working Tests this summer in preparation for working on a local shoot this coming autumn. He has a super temperament, and is a loving dog. He is a very moderate dog, not too large with a pale grey coat. He is an excellent retriever, and will bring almost anything back! He is a strong swimmer too, gaining the top water score in a recent GWT.

Living with us at the moment are 6 dogs, the oldest being 15. Both parents come from lines of healthy, long lived dogs. Alia's mother, grand mother and great grandmother (also 15) are still alive.

For us the most important aspect of having a litter is finding the right puppy owners. We are never in a rush to sell our pups, having the space to run them on for as long as it takes. We are intending to either keep a puppy ourselves or keep one in partnership with someone who wants to show.

Having been a member of the Weimaraner Club of Great Britain since 1983, we follow the Club's strict code of conduct. More can be found about the Club's code of conduct and criteria when buying a pup on the Club's website (
We include one year's membership of the WCGB in our puppy pack. In addition, to support the invaluable work done by the Club's rescue service, we donate 50 for each pup that we sell.

Training a Weimaraner is vitally important and a lack of training is often the cause of an owner wanting to rehome their dog. Therefore we strongly recommend that the new owners take their pup to training classes, either puppy, obedience, ringcraft, or local gundog classes. In recognition of this commitment once the pup has completed a puppy training course, or has attended at least six gundog or obedience classes, we refund 50 to cover the costs of the classes (subject to a signed letter from the trainer).

The puppies will be regularly wormed, and come with diet sheet, worming details, six weeks free insurance from Petplan, 5 generation pedigree and guidance pack. The registration document will be endorsed so that any progeny from the dog will not be eligible for KC registration. However, we can lift the endorsement in the future if an owner wants to breed from their dog and has consulted us regarding the mating.

We like our puppy owners to keep in touch, let us know how they are getting on and send us photos. Our 'support line' is always available, whatever the age of the dog.

If you are interested in one of our pups please call and have a chat or drop us an email.

update 12 July - having run on two pups, we have finally made our choice of a bitch, so this super dog pup is now available, great temperament, out-going, already retrieving well, suitable for pet, show, working or agility home. Has had first set of vaccinations.
