BISS Champion Crazy Train Pilgrim to Chatmoss JW ShCM (IMP SWE).

Sired by 2 x Best of Breed @ Crufts, International Champion, UK Champion, Nordic Champion, Nordic Winner '11, Toftahill Game On, out of our own home bred Norwegian Champion Chatmoss Chelsea Girl who herself was Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts.

Gunnar is already proven as an excellent Stud Dog and has sired a number of excellent litters of strong, healthy puppies, a number of which have left us for a show homes in the U.K., Ireland and Argentina and have become Champions in numerous countries. A smart bitch went to Ireland and has achieved her Champion title already. In Argentina, another smart bitch is Multiple Junior Champion and is herself producing excellent puppies, however prior to leaving she achieved the title of Hope World Winner 2015 at The World Dog Show 2015.

Gunnar qualified for Crufts 2015 at the first opportunity by placing 1st in Minor Puppy Dog and Novice Dog at Southern Border Terrier Championship Show under Breed Specialist Judge, Mrs Wendy Moony (Chesterton)who wrote of him....

`Lots to like about this promising 7 month old puppy. Looked good both standing and on the move. Good topline and has a lovely coat and pelt. Loved his head and overall outline. Certainly one I will be watching in the future.`

He then went on to be placed 1st in Junior Dog at Boston Championship Show under Breed Specialist Judge, Mrs Julie Guvercin (Glebeheath) who wrote of him...

`Good headed grizzle with dark eye and correct expression. A little heavy in ear perhaps but they’re well set and used. Good neck and front with easily spanned body of just enough length to use himself on the move, which is where he clinched this class. He is moderately angulated and a shade more behind would be nice, but he uses every bit that he’s got to stride out. Carries a nice top line and tail and was in good order.`

Further to this Gunnar has been awarded his first UK Kennel Club Challenge Certificate by breed specialist judge and Border Terrier breeder / exhibitor, Stewart MacPherson of the World famous Brumberhill kennel who wrote of him...

`Grizzle and Tan. Just over 18 months. Super head and expression. Excellent neck, shoulder, front and feet. Good rib, carried well back. Easily spanned. Excellent top line and tail set. Good tail, well carried. Exceptionally good coat and pelt. Lovely, narrow bodylines. Beautifully presented and in excellent condition. Yes, he could perhaps have a shade more angulation to his hindquarters, but they are “racy” and he used them to full advantage, powering around the ring, freely and accurately, keeping his outline, not bothered by the longish grass. Delighted to award him his first CC. Sired by my Crufts BOB, ex my Crufts Best Puppy! Heard, afterwards, his litter sister went BIS at the Swedish Arets, today, as well! Congratulations!`

He has gone on to be awarded GREEN STAR DOG AND BEST OF BREED at 2 International Shows in Ireland and be a regular Best of Breed and class winner at International Championship Shows in Ireland and Holland. In October `14 at 11 months of age he was awarded 2 x Green Star Dog, 2 x Best of Breed & 2 x Best Puppy in Breed at The Irish Kennel Club International 2 Day Championship Shows under judges from Germany and Australia.

At The Italian Kennel Club Show held in conjunction with The Worls Dog Show, Gunnar was awarded the CAC by Terrier Specialiat judge, Mr Martin Phillips.

At Kortrijk Championship Show in Belgium Gunnar was awarded CAC, BEST OF BREED and TERRIER GROUP 2 by World renowned judge Mr Ronnie Irving of the World famous Dandyhow Border Terrier kennels.

In Holland he has been awarded a Junior CAC.

Closer to home, Gunnar has been awarded Best In Show at the Lancashire Sporting Terrier Terrier Speciality, regularly been awarded Best of Breed and Best Puppy in Breed with very good Group and Puppy Group placings at Open Show level. Recently he was awarded Reserve Best in Show by very well known and respected judge, Patsy Hollins who a few months later awarded him Best of Breed and Best Terrier in Show (Group 1) at the prestigious Royal Cheshire Show.

A few critiques for Gunnar...

`Young dog that caught my eye on entering the ring. Just under two years grizzle and tan dog of lovely size. Strong, masculine head with alert, keen expression, correct scissor bite with strong underjaw. Fabulous narrow, gun barrel straight front with enough bone. Good layback of shoulder and ribbed well back. Easily spannable. Level topline and well set on tail. Muscular hindquarters which powered him round the ring with good economy of movement. Thick pelt and undercoat with top coat just about to go past it’s best, but still of excellent texture. Quality dog who is bound to do well in the future. BOB`

`Grizzle and tan dog, two years old. Lovely head and expression with a dark eye, good skull, very little stop and excellent bite. Good front and neck into clean well laid shoulders and good length and return of upper arm. Nice bone without being heavy. Standing on well padded feet. Deep narrow body and ribs with a nice overall length to him. Good topline and underline. Well muscled hindquarters. Shown in a very good double coat. Free striding and true on the move. RBOB.`

Now maturing well, we do not show dogs anymore as we are concentrating on the Working Life of our Terriers.

Gunnar has now qualified for his UK Kennel Club JUNIOR WARRANT & SHOW CERTIFICATE OF MERIT.
