Elsa is a wonderful character who has brought a lot of fun into our lives. She was bred by Fiona Braddon of Trendlewood Labradors and is a happy, friendly and outgoing character.

I have shown Elsa locally and have been lucky enough to have a lot of wins and placing at both open and Championship shows with some wonderful comments from the judges. Elsa thrilled us by qualifying for Crufts 3 years on the run and then being placed with a VHC and 3rd placing at Crufts. Please some just a few of the judges critiques about Elsa:

A few of ELSA's Judges Critiques:

Best of Breed and 1st Graduate at Coventry Gundog show
BOB Trendlewood Viva la Vida: Cracking black girl who really caught the eye. Lovely front, of
the 'old school'. Moved freely and in line, good tail carriage flowing from well held topline, feminine head, neat ears. Took a very good class on her overall condition and movement. Judge: Colin Harrison

Best of Breed and 1st Post graduate at Witney & DCS
BOB Trendlewood Viva la Vida, Black bitch with lovely clean outline who caught my eye in this class. Appealing head, lovely reach of neck , good shoulder placement, level topline with correct otter tail. Well boned with good back end and in good coat. Very sound mover, Judge: Jenny King

1st Yearling United Retriever club Championship show
1st Trendlewood Viva la Vida, a very nice type of bitch, beautiful head and expression, in lovely coat and carrying a true otter tail. Good depth and width of chest. Well angulated quarters. Moved steadily. Judge Mrs Allen

1st Puppy Cotswold and Wyvern LRC Championship show
Well made black who flows from head to tail, the good balance shows the structure and coupling with good angulation, kindest of heads, enough bone and coat, deep when viewed from side, and nice 2nd thigh to complete the picture, sound on the move. Judge Marion Hopkinson

WELKS Championship show: 1st GCB Trendlewood Viva la Vida, I liked this typy black, down to the last 7 in post-grad, She is not the easiest to show but when she gets it together she looks good. Is well bodied with correct coat and good tail, plenty of everything without being overdone, good through front, well muscled rear, kind head and eye, clean neck, moved freely. Judge: Brian Parrott

1st Post Graduate at National Gundog Championship show (August 2013)
Trendlewood Viva la Vida . Well balanced black of good confirmation. Deep, short, coupled body, excellent coat and tail. Feminine head with good muzzle length in good coat and moved with drive.
Mrs Elliott.
