Ruby is Lizzie's daughter from her 2nd litter and the only girl out of a litter of 9 puppies.

She has a very laid back approach to life and we have to keep reminding ourselves she is still a young dog especially has she has premature greying of her muzzle, people who meet her think she is an older dog as she is so placid !. She is very gentle and loving and good with children, adults and other dogs. She is a joy to live with and such an easy puppy....most of the time !
I had looked at working her for obedience competition like her mother but her heart just isn't in it. She loves people and children and so felt her calling in life was more toward helping people, she is now a qualified Pets As Therapy dog and makes weekly visits to a local school where we participate in the Read2Dogs program , the children ''Read to Ruby '' regularly on a friday afternoon helping children with reading difficulties and even those with dog phobia, she also participates in the nursery where she can be found laid in the middle of a group of 4-5 year olds whilst they listen to the teacher read... we are so proud of her !
She also does some fund raising activities at events, shopping centres and grocery shops for Support Dogs a charity based in Sheffield that provides dogs for people with seizures, children with autism and dogs that help with activities of daily living. She was in training to be a demonstration dog but that is on hold at the moment.
When she isnt helping people she is helping her fellow canines in their time of need by donating blood through the Pet Blood Bank.

She is a very quick learner and was easy to train as a puppy, she is just as happy out and about in the woods or fields as she is snuggled up next to you on the settee although she does have her own bed !
