PROVEN SIRE

Our first Tan/White dog George made a great start to his show career by qualifying for Crufts on his very first outing, at Midland Counties Champ Show in Oct 2012, judged by breed specialist Mrs V Phillips.

At Leeds City & DCA in July 2013, George passed the Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze test, and is now proudly wearing his Gromit medallion on his collar, just like his Grandma Tansy! A brilliant success for a 15 mth old, with no prior formal obedience training, George achieved this merit at first try, in high winds and rain, not even sit & stay orientated before his test, in a group of dogs, including hound and terrier breeds he had never come across before, & raced across the showground at short notice, straight out of a show class (3rd of 5 in Junior Dog) what a brave little guy!

In Dec 2013, aged 19 months, George gained his Show Certificate of Merit, the first Bjornhagen bred dog to do so.

George has had a super 2015, he is now the second Bjornhagen bred dog to gain his Stud Book Number, at Manchester Champ Show 15 Jan, through his 2nd place at first try in Open Dog, a class of 8 (Jeff Horswell).
Crufts 2015 saw George achieving a wonderful 2nd of 16 in Limit Dog, followed by 2nd of 11 in KC Good Citizen Dog Scheme Dog, thank you to breed specialist judge Christine Lewis. This was his third time at the most prestigious show in the calendar, having previously been placed 3rd/7 Special Puppy Dog in 2013 (Mr M Phillips), and 4th/15 KCGCDS Dog in 2014 (breed specialist Mrs L Calikes). Several super class wins and placings at Champ Shows, Open Show Best of Breed & Group placings have followed to make George's 2015 very special, the 'icing on the cake' being gaining Best Dog and Best Opposite Sex at Boston Champ Show in Jan 2016 (L Chambers), his final Ch Show before Crufts 2016.

Georgy Porgy Pudding's favourite pastimes are playing with his family, especially rolling around with Nana Tansy, his ultimate idol, snuggling on the sofa and in the sunny garden, exploring the countryside looking for (very) elusive squirrels & rabbits, raiding the vegetable beds for carrots or any other unsuspecting fruit, berry, veg or herb, but also loves his outings to shows, as he gets to meet lots of different dogs, not just Beagles, he sees enough of them at home!
