Jason will be staying here at Azteca with his Mum Katie. So far he seems to be a biddable little chap & hopefully will have big sister Flames zest for life. We hope to do obedience, gundog training & agility with him & maybe show him. Time will tell!!

I think Jason is finding it very quiet without his brothers & sisters but is getting used to the "big girls". Flame keeps telling him off which results in him squealing & running off behind the waterbutt.

Jason has had a busy couple of days. Yesterday he went to ringcraft & met many different breeds.
Today he went swimming with Mum Katie & big sister Flame. He loved it & seems to be a natural.
Tonight he went to his 1st obedience class with brother Ozzie. Tomorrow he will go to Flames agility class. but has to wait till he's a year old before he can try it for himself. With his sister Rosie staying on holiday life is one big playtime!!

Jason is growing fast & turning into a lovely boy.

Last night at Ringcraft was match night & Jason was awarded a 4th in Puppy class & as he is only 4 months was the 2nd youngest there in a class of 11.

Today Jason entered his 1st show, URC, & was awarded 1st place in Minor Puppy Dog!! This is an exciting start to his show career.

At Southern Golden Retriever Society Open Show, Jason was awarded Best Puppy in Show!! What a day for our "little man".
He just kept showing all day & was so well behaved. Lots of people admired him which he loves.
2nd Nov 08
Today Jason was awarded 1st place in Minor Puppy Dog @ Berkshire Downs & Chilterns Golden Retriever Club Champ Show!! What a star!! He has now qualified for Crufts 2009.

Tonight Jason gained his Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze award at his 1st attempt. He now joins sisters maisie & Willow, who already have theirs. Ozzie still has to take his as he's not quite ready.

Today Jason got Best puppy in breed at the South of England Gundog Club. What a superstar!!

Today Jason won 2 of his classes at SGRS Champ show. He was placed 2nd in his other class & was awarded Best Puppy Dog. We are so thrilled with these awards.

What a lovely day for our special man.

Today Jason had his eyes tested & has now got a clear certificate.
24th April 09
Today Jason passed his Silver KCGC test with flying colours. He should have taken it 2 months ago but had a bug on the day of the test.
Hopefully he will take his Gold in a couple of weeks. We are so proud of our little man.
3rd May 09
Today Jason attended the SGRS Working training day. He had a lovely time & competed in the little working test in the afternoon where he gained a creditable 65/80 points. His Auntie Whisper won 3rd place with 78 points.

Jason did really well to pass his KCGC Gold test at 12 months old. He now joins the girls with this accolade.

Today Jason gained the final points for his Junior Warrant. What a star!!
26th July 09
Jason has had an exciting day at the South Western Golden Retriever funday.
He has taken part in gundog training, experiencing water & jumping a fence for the 1st time. In the afternoon there were 2 tests & a "Scurry" ( a timed retrieve ). Then a fun dog show. The handlers had a barbeque lunch & cakes at teatime.
A lovely day was had by all .

Jason's hip & elbow scores are back with 12:6 = 18 for hips & 0:0 for elbows.

Today Jason went on his 1st shoot with big sister Flame. He had an enjoyable day & was allowed to pick up a duck which he did very gently.

Today Jason passed his Show Gundog Working Certificate. This will entitle him to Special classes at some shows.
Mike & I are thrilled with this award.

Today Jason passed his 2nd eye test.
Jason is at stud to approved bitches with current clear eye certificates, good hip & elbow certificates.

Today Jason & I went to the SGRS training day. We thoroughly enjoyed our training with Neil Franklin & then participated in the working test in the afternoon where Jason gained 70 points out of 80!

Jason had his 1st full day picking up & what he star he turned out to be, finding a bird other dogs had failed to find & picking up runners. Flame had better watch out or he'll be taking her place! Only joking Flame as you're my no. 1 girl!!
5th March 11
Today I entered Jason in the BD & C Working test held near Woolhampton , Berks.
Jason failed on one of the tests but completed the other 3 with scores of 19, 19, & 10 , each out of 20. He thoroughly enjoyed his day & slept all the way back home in the car. Hopefully we will do better as the season goes on.
This year we have decided not to go to CRUFTS.
Jason has now had the GR-PRA test done & we await the results.
Jason has just completed another successful picking up season. He really enjoys himself & is so well behaved. We hope to do the Gundog working certificate in March. He still continues to amuse us with his antics .
