The main purpose of our Club is to promote the Labrador Retriever in the North West area, incorporating Lancashire, Cheshire, North Wales and Cumbria.

The aims of the Club are:
1. To promote and encourage the welfare and interests of the Labrador Retriever.
2. To promote the breeding, improvement and type of the Labrador Retriever, as defined in the Kennel Club Breed Standard.
3. To conserve the best type of working Labrador.
4. To promote Field Trials, and Limit, Open and Championship Shows.
5. To ensure that only qualified Judges be invited to judge at Shows.
6. To encourage, in particular, the novice and junior exhibitor.
7. To educate Club members in the training, handling and care of Labradors.

We welcome all responsible Labrador owners, breeders, exhibitors, working dog owners and competitors, and those new to the wonderful world of Labrador Retrievers are particularly welcome and are encouraged to join in.

Committee organizes an extensive range of events including 3 shows annually, (Limit in February, Open in June and Championship in October), seminars, training events, field trials and working tests, and the Club runs an annual B.V.A. Eye Testing and Optigen 20/20 Clinic in August.

There is also an excellent Labrador Rescue Service and a Puppy Register.
