I bought my first Whippet in 1990, after owning a Borzoi and various gundog breeds since the early 1970s. All my dogs live indoors as family and I aim to breed healthy, sound Whippets, only having a litter when I want another puppy for myself. They are well exercised and fed a natural diet. I am currently Secretary of the National Whippet Association.

We live in West Cumbria on the fringe of the beautiful Lake District. We have had the privilege of sharing our lives with some fabulous dogs over the years, but none as remarkable as Daisy (Montventure Cultured Pearl) our fawn with white trim whippet bitch. In view of this, and after much consideration, we decided to let her have a litter of puppies, and following a great deal of research, we found her perfect stud dog, Vinnie (Gazenorth Graffiti at Falconcrag).

We both grew up with horses and dogs and I used to compete in cross country until an injury finally forced me to give up riding. We started married life with our beloved lurchers and used to show and race them, competing at Chatsworth several times and even winning Best in Show. When Teagle and Thyme finally passed away we felt that we could not be without the "hound temperament" and as Thyme had been half whippet it made sense to have a whippet join our family and so we have now had whippets in our life and on our sofas since 2000.

LATEST NEWS : We are so looking forward to seeing our first Border Terriers growing up.

Very sadly we have just lost the last of our German Shepherds to the scourge of cancer, she was 10 years old and the sweetest dog.

Although I have bred GSD's for over 20 years I have always had a great love for whippets and had one as a pet for nearly 16 years. I bought in 2009 a beautiful blue brindle bitch "Buebezi Heaven Sent" known as "Ava" and who was intended for the show ring and then to breed. She had a successful start to her show career being placed nearly every time out even with .... (click to read more)

Fancy (Derohan Beyond Desire) is my second whippet, I also have Florence, a non pedigree girl and she needed a friend so along came Fancy. Her breeder Caroline Osborne introduced us to the world of showing and that is where it all started. Despite my lack of showing experience Fancy has done well showing, winning at Open and Championship level and qualifying for Crufts 3 years in a row. Both girls are pets and live in the house with me, hogging the sofa and enjoy a Sunday lie in in bed!
I have just registered Florancy as my Kennel Name.

I have a small all girl pack of Whippets and Italian Greyhounds that i show and occasionally breed.
The girls all live inside as part of the family and have the run of the house. They all free run on the beach every day whatever the weather. Showing is a hobby to me with the girls welfare and happiness being priority.
These two breeds have in my opinion everything you want from a canine companion, they are loving, spirited, full of character and have grace, beauty and elegance.
I breed when i want a pup for myself.
My pups will all leave fully vaccinated, chipped and will have .... (click to read more)
