This is a sporting line which has always been bred as closely as possible to the breed standard while maintaining above average performance in the field.
They have been running competitively and shown since 1971, achieving top honours in both fields.
All my whippets are health checked regularly and I think their performance proves they are "fit for function". I like to keep in touch with my puppy clients and expect regular progress reports. Any Moonlake whippet can be returned to me at any stage of its .... (click to read more)

Chelynnah Whippets is based in Poole, Dorset. Our pups are home raised and we breed rarely - only when wanting a pup for ourselves.
Health and temperament are very important to us in our breeding choices, as we know the most important job of any dog is to be a cherished family pet. Anything else they may do (ie show or work) is a bonus. All of our dogs live in the home with us as much loved members of the family, and we look for homes with a similar ethos.
We are Members of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme.
The Soethond family group is currently made up of 6 Whippets, Freehamlet Perfick Priam (Tate) and Reubicia Desiderata (Dizzy), and their 4 retained offspring, Soethond's Romeo (Slipper), Soethond's Othello(Shredders), Soethond's As You Like It(Jago), and Soethond's Juliette (Heather).
Dizzy in no longer shown as she simply does not enjoy showing, but the rest all enjoy 'party days', and though they have only been lightly shown in 2013, they have been successful at many of the shows they have attended.
At Soethond it's not all about the showing though, and the rest of the time the .... (click to read more)

We are a small 'domestic' kennel with occasional litters, based in Suffolk. We have been been showing and breeding healthy dogs for over 20 years, enjoying success at both open and championship show level.
We have currently bred two champions and our current Boston Terrier showgirl is waiting for her third CC...
We judge all three breeds and are members of the appropriate breed clubs.
We are also active members of the Suffolk Kennel Association.

My Whippets are bred for quality and temperament. They are all house reared and have contact with other dogs and children and are therefore very domesticated. They all have their dew claws removed and are all wormed and Kennel Club registered. Mother can be seen. I am located right on the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire Borders, about 10 miles from Swindon. Please contact me if you require any further information.

I have been breeding dogs for 42yrs and began in the seventies under my old affix of “Marcrest”
I started when I was 12yrs old with a neighbour’s German Shepherd. Then having been given a German Shepherd puppy for my birthday I was hooked!!
I bred my first litter when I was 16 and had my first judging appointment when I was 19. I decided I wanted another breed as well as the Shepherds, so in 1974, acquired my first American Cocker bitch.
I went on to show and breed American’s for many years. I then decided to have a complete change and bought my .... (click to read more)

I have owned whippets since 1996, when I became a committed convert to the breed! My first whippets were Bella, a Chyton bred coursing bitch who was followed by Foggy, a handsome Baldrey show bred dog.
I bought both dogs as unknowns, and was thrilled to see that both these kennels are well represented in various whippet books, and my dogs were 'good uns'. I became interested in breeding my two dogs together with a view to being able to show a pup from the litter - yes! I thought it would be easy...

Oxana is a small Show kennel in Reading on the borders of Oxon and Hants.
Our dogs live with us in our home as valued members of our family who love nothing more than curling up on the sofa after a long morning running free doing what whippets love best!
All our dogs have lovely temperaments and enjoy success in the Show ring at all levels.

My first show dog, Pagan, a Dobermann arrived in 1985, closely followed by her half sister, Laura. Then a German Pinscher came in 1989 and my first Brittany, Annie, in 1993, although by no means my last. She was a beautiful show dog but was not suitable for breeding so her half sister, Macy, joined the household in 1996 and proved to be a wonderful show dog, brood and most of all a superb companion. Macy left us with wonderful memories and a broken heart on the 4th September 13 but her legacy lives on in Hazel, her great granddaughter and a great character. Ellie, the Whippet arrived to the .... The first Beksam puppies were born in the 1960s when my parents, Joy and Arthur Ford bred their first litter of Boston Terriers. In the early 1970s we bought our first Bearded Collie and I went in to partnership with my parents. We bred, showed and loved our Beardies for many years. In fact, in 2004 we lost our last girl after 35 years of happy Beardie ownership.
We bought our first Whippet in 1981 and I was hooked. The Whippets are still my first love. They share our home and hearts with three elderly Miniature Schnauzers (who still act like naughty children).
All our dogs live .... (click to read more)

We have owned whippets for over 40 years now but only started showing in 1988. We have had a few whippets during this period but are now down to only 6. Four of these are pictured above.
Two of Clovers litter, Bramble and Willow, stayed with us and now Willow has had a litter of her own on 13.2.2011. (See litter Pages). One of her sons, Rowan, has stayed with us. She had a second litter on 20.5.2012 and a little girl, Teazel, has joined the family

We both grew up with horses and dogs and I used to compete in cross country until an injury finally forced me to give up riding. We started married life with our beloved lurchers and used to show and race them, competing at Chatsworth several times and even winning Best in Show. When Teagle and Thyme finally passed away we felt that we could not be without the "hound temperament" and as Thyme had been half whippet it made sense to have a whippet join our family and so we have now had whippets in our life and on our sofas since 2000.

Wayhead Whippets have been founded on stock bred by my good friend Sally Fuller-Lewis of Elaphine kennels and so the pedigree can be traced back to her foundation stock over 40 years ago. They have always been bred for soundness and excellent gentle temperaments from show lines, which makes them so suited as first class pets.
All of our Whippets live in the home and are very much part of the family. Likewise any puppies that we produce are also home reared to make them well adjusted to continue living as a member of the family. Our aim is to produce good quality sound puppies with .... (click to read more)
