This is a sporting line which has always been bred as closely as possible to the breed standard while maintaining above average performance in the field.
They have been running competitively and shown since 1971, achieving top honours in both fields.
All my whippets are health checked regularly and I think their performance proves they are "fit for function". I like to keep in touch with my puppy clients and expect regular progress reports. Any Moonlake whippet can be returned to me at any stage of its .... (click to read more)

I was infact born into a Whippet household and was taken to shows when very young, sitting on benches at all breed open shows, next to Standard Dachshunds who barked a lot & frightened me to death!
From around 1974 to 1982 shows took a back seat, as my mother was unable to drive and was not able to get to shows.
Just before Christmas of 1978 a little Red fawn Whippet puppy, Nempnetts Red Kite ~ Zelda, had come to live with us after the loss of Springetts Tracie’s Maid ~ Tatty, the Miniature Poodle. Spring of 1981 came and we as children, asked if Zelda could have puppies, this was to .... (click to read more)

Chelynnah Whippets is based in Poole, Dorset. Our pups are home raised and we breed rarely - only when wanting a pup for ourselves.
Health and temperament are very important to us in our breeding choices, as we know the most important job of any dog is to be a cherished family pet. Anything else they may do (ie show or work) is a bonus. All of our dogs live in the home with us as much loved members of the family, and we look for homes with a similar ethos.
We are Members of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme.

We are a world famous show kennel specialising in Shih Tzu, having made up some 45 Champions owned and or bred. For the past 30 years we have also owned Irish Wolfhound and Borzoi, but now the sighthounds are taking a more prominent role in showing and our selective breeding programmes. Puppies are sometimes available to the discerning. We are hear to help you and look forward to greeting you at Harropine.

I've had Whippets since the mid-70's. Whilst living in Belgium I had the affix 'Briary'. I made up 5 Int. Ned. Germ. Belg. champions, 3 home bred. On returning to live in England, 6 years ago, I was not allowed to keep my affix, it became 'Penbriar'.
I only breed a litter when I want to keep one myself from a certain bitch. Health & good characters are most important. Bitches are PRA/ Cataract and heart tested before mating.
All puppies are born and raised in the house, though they do also have a very comfortable puppy house & run outside.
I share my house with 5 Whippets and a .... (click to read more)

I have owned whippets all my life as indeed my parents owned, bred & showed whippets before I was even born, so I grew up surrounded by this lovely breed. I show my whippets at all levels although first & foremost they are family pets & live in the house with us. I only breed when I want to carry on the next generation & always breed for sound health, good breed type & excellent temperament.

Having owned and groomed Schnauzers, I bought my first Whippet in 2009 and became totally smitten by this enchanting breed. Kristal (Spyanfly Semi Precious at Alroed) is my very special and beautiful blue brindle Whippet Bitch. A fantastic family pet with a superb, gentle and kind temperament, she is out of CH Spyanfly Sharon Stone and Multi CH Airescot Ruby Rascal and has an outstanding pedigree.
In March 2012, Kristal produced her first litter of eight puppies with CH Loroli Authorized by Derohan (heart tested clear). I have kept one bitch, Alroed Jewel in the Crown and hope to show her .... (click to read more)

My Whippets are bred for quality and temperament. They are all house reared and have contact with other dogs and children and are therefore very domesticated. They all have their dew claws removed and are all wormed and Kennel Club registered. Mother can be seen. I am located right on the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire Borders, about 10 miles from Swindon. Please contact me if you require any further information.
We are relatively new to being owned by whippets having our first girl in 2008 who was Starlight Betty. We now have five having bred a litter from Milli x Turn of Gold at Yantabella last year and kept 2 bitches Jazz , Courtbirch Scarlet O'Hara who we are showing and Courtbirch Miss Moneypenny who is my daughters pet and may do some agility.
We also have two Spyanfly girls and Pauline has proved to be a good friend introducing me into showing and making me do it right.

The Linalkins are a very small group of much loved whippets who allow Louise and myself to share their bungalow and garden. We pride ourselves in owning, and occasionally breeding whippets that are capable of holding their own in the show ring, are a pleasure to live with, being sound physically and mentally, and are able to do a day's work if given the opportunity. All the Linalkins hold at least the bronze KC Good Citizen's award. Occasionally we have had the opportunity to let them race, a pastime very much enjoyed by both whippets and humans.
