We are a small show-kennel based in Aberdeeshire. Our dogs live in our home and are very much part of the family. We will only occasionally breed a litter when we want a puppy for ourselves. Our aim is to breed healthy Whippets with a sound temperament whilst keeping conformation & breed type a priority. Our Whippets are, or have been, actively campaigned at Championship Show level. They are pets first and show-dogs second. My introduction into showing and this beautiful breed was Tara - Fire Fashion Dancer (d.o.b. 09/04/2003). We both grew up with horses and dogs and I used to compete in cross country until an injury finally forced me to give up riding. We started married life with our beloved lurchers and used to show and race them, competing at Chatsworth several times and even winning Best in Show. When Teagle and Thyme finally passed away we felt that we could not be without the "hound temperament" and as Thyme had been half whippet it made sense to have a whippet join our family and so we have now had whippets in our life and on our sofas since 2000.

Our dogs live within our home as part of the family .... (click to read more)

  • Tarward

    Hull
    Yorkshire

My first show dog, Pagan, a Dobermann arrived in 1985, closely followed by her half sister, Laura. Then a German Pinscher came in 1989 and my first Brittany, Annie, in 1993, although by no means my last. She was a beautiful show dog but was not suitable for breeding so her half sister, Macy, joined the household in 1996 and proved to be a wonderful show dog, brood and most of all a superb companion. Macy left us with wonderful memories and a broken heart on the 4th September 13 but her legacy lives on in Hazel, her great granddaughter and a great character. Ellie, the Whippet arrived to the .... SOME BACKGROUND

I have been breeding dogs for 48yrs and began in the seventies under my old affix of “Marcrest”

I started when I was 12yrs old with a neighbour’s German Shepherd. Then having been given a German Shepherd puppy for my birthday I was hooked!!

I bred my first litter when I was 16 and had my first judging appointment when I was 19. I decided I wanted another breed as well as the Shepherds, so in 1974, acquired my first American Cocker bitch.

I went on to show and breed American’s for many years. I then decided to have a complete change and bought my .... (click to read more)
