I now own Deerhounds, Whippets, Lurchers and Miniature Poodles. Our dogs live with us in our home as members of our family - we do not have kennels - with our cats and other animals.
I have had success in the showring with our Deerhounds, firstly with Demerlay Dorian Grey at Celticmoon who gained one Challenge Certificate, two Reserve Challenge Certificates and one Reserve Best of Breed at Champion Shows before retiring and more recently with .... (click to read more)

Chelynnah Whippets is based in Poole, Dorset. Our pups are home raised and we breed rarely - only when wanting a pup for ourselves.
Health and temperament are very important to us in our breeding choices, as we know the most important job of any dog is to be a cherished family pet. Anything else they may do (ie show or work) is a bonus. All of our dogs live in the home with us as much loved members of the family, and we look for homes with a similar ethos.
We are Members of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme.

Huntinghill Whippets - A small kennel aiming for health, soundness, construction & good temperament. Pets first, Showdogs second!
We do not breed very many litters and carefully consider our lines before embarking on a mating. It is very important to us to breed with the above aims in mind & only if we want to keep a puppy ourselves.
Potential puppy owners will be asked many questions from us & we expect many questions back. Any puppies sold will be supplied with full documentation ie KC, feeding charts, pedigree & general information and an agreement between both parties that should an .... (click to read more)

I was infact born into a Whippet household and was taken to shows when very young, sitting on benches at all breed open shows, next to Standard Dachshunds who barked a lot & frightened me to death!
From around 1974 to 1982 shows took a back seat, as my mother was unable to drive and was not able to get to shows.
Just before Christmas of 1978 a little Red fawn Whippet puppy, Nempnetts Red Kite ~ Zelda, had come to live with us after the loss of Springetts Tracie’s Maid ~ Tatty, the Miniature Poodle. Spring of 1981 came and we as children, asked if Zelda could have puppies, this was to .... (click to read more)
Gallahads a Portuguese Breeder since 1975 with Afghan Hound and Whippet .In 2013 started breeding Weimaraner, and my goal is responsability . Proud breeding with sucess multiple champions.
The Linalkins are a very small group of much loved whippets who allow Louise and myself to share their bungalow and garden. We pride ourselves in owning, and occasionally breeding whippets that are capable of holding their own in the show ring, are a pleasure to live with, being sound physically and mentally, and are able to do a day's work if given the opportunity. All the Linalkins hold at least the bronze KC Good Citizen's award. Occasionally we have had the opportunity to let them race, a pastime very much enjoyed by both whippets and humans.

I have owned whippets all my life as indeed my parents owned, bred & showed whippets before I was even born, so I grew up surrounded by this lovely breed. I show my whippets at all levels although first & foremost they are family pets & live in the house with us. I only breed when I want to carry on the next generation & always breed for sound health, good breed type & excellent temperament.

We have owned whippets for over 40 years now but only started showing in 1988. We have had a few whippets during this period but are now down to only 6. Four of these are pictured above.
Two of Clovers litter, Bramble and Willow, stayed with us and now Willow has had a litter of her own on 13.2.2011. (See litter Pages). One of her sons, Rowan, has stayed with us. She had a second litter on 20.5.2012 and a little girl, Teazel, has joined the family

Although I have bred GSD's for over 20 years I have always had a great love for whippets and had one as a pet for nearly 16 years. I bought in 2009 a beautiful blue brindle bitch "Buebezi Heaven Sent" known as "Ava" and who was intended for the show ring and then to breed. She had a successful start to her show career being placed nearly every time out even with a very novice mum, but sadly she was involved in a car accident which left her with only a short length of tail so showing was no longer an option. She has the sweetest temperament, typical of the breed and loves all people and other .... (click to read more)

My first show dog, Pagan, a Dobermann arrived in 1985, closely followed by her half sister, Laura. Then a German Pinscher came in 1989 and my first Brittany, Annie, in 1993, although by no means my last. She was a beautiful show dog but was not suitable for breeding so her half sister, Macy, joined the household in 1996 and proved to be a wonderful show dog, brood and most of all a superb companion. Macy left us with wonderful memories and a broken heart on the 4th September 13 but her legacy lives on in Hazel, her great granddaughter and a great character. Ellie, the Whippet arrived to the .... I have been breeding dogs for 42yrs and began in the seventies under my old affix of “Marcrest”
I started when I was 12yrs old with a neighbour’s German Shepherd. Then having been given a German Shepherd puppy for my birthday I was hooked!!
I bred my first litter when I was 16 and had my first judging appointment when I was 19. I decided I wanted another breed as well as the Shepherds, so in 1974, acquired my first American Cocker bitch.
I went on to show and breed American’s for many years. I then decided to have a complete change and bought my .... (click to read more)

I co-own the Speymalt Kennel with my Father. We are based in the North East of Scotland, along the stunning Moray Firth coast line. Our dogs are very much pets first and show dogs seconds.
