I grew up with Labs, Rough Collies and Irish Setters.
After 20 years persuasion, my husband finally agreed to a family dog. As an outdoor family, we wanted an active, lively, affectionate dog, not too small (husband), not too big (daughter). We visited Collies, Gordon Setters, English Springers, Field Spaniels and Irish setters, to name a few, in our quest for our perfect family dog, eventually settling on a Welsh Springer Spaniel.

Hi,
We are Kath & Martin Greenwood and we live just outside the lovely market town of Otley and we are surrounded by beautiful open countryside.
We bought our first show Golden Retriever in 1986 from Mrs Barbara Keighley - " Colbar Summer Breeze of Telkaro"and all our stock are descended from that beautiful bitch., Breeze won a Res CC.
In 1990 we bought our first Welsh Springer Spaniel from Mrs Christine Knowles. We campained her and she became Sh Ch Northoaks Sea Glympse of Menstonia.

My husband and I have always had dogs . Working with Border Collies as a shepherd, my husband has much experience in training dogs and also has bred some champions with his uncle. We both love Spaniels. I myself have had Cockers in the past and now we have a lovely Welsh Springer. She is a very special dog who is a loved family pet and occasional show dog. Welsh Springers are a wonderful breed with a friendly and loyal nature.

We are based in Scotland, 17 miles from Glasgow.
'Magregor' has been established for 20 plus years. We have made up 15 Champions accross three breeds.
As well as breeding a Field Trial winner.
Gordon & Marion are International Championship Show Judges.
Gordon was Show Secretary of the GSP Club for 10 years, a Committee Marion also served on for many years.
Currently Gordon is Secretary of Gundog Breeds Association of Scotland ( Scotland's biggest Gundog Club ) and Rutherglen Canine Club. Marion is Secretary of the Hunt Point Retrieve Club of Scotland.

Both the Brittanies and the Welsh Springer Spaniels are lively characters and certainly keep you on your toes. We work and show our dogs. We have owned Brittanies for over 18 years and Welshies have owned us for over 10 years!
We are members of the North of England Welsh Springer Spaniel Club, and the Brittany Club of Great Britain. Caroline is the Working Secretary for the North Welsh Springer Spaniel Club.

We are Jenny and Jo, and we are based on the beautiful West Coast of Wales. We are surrounded by open countryside and lovely sandy beaches - the ideal area for dog walking. We own and show Welsh Springer Spaniels and they are an important part of our family, living in the house and partaking in all family activities. All our dogs are Hip Scored, and we are members of the WSSCSW and WSSC.

I have owned dogs all my life, but fell in love with the welsh springer spaniel 7 yrs ago. I purchased my 1st bitch 5 yrs ago after a long search, then 3yrs ago bought my dog millo who is a proven sire. They are a fantastic breed, great with children and very gentle. Both my dogs have got good hip scores, and are wormed and innoculated up to date.

Since then we have added The Welsh Springer Spaniel and The Siberian Husky to our kennel and not forgetting our 2 little Bichons. We breed quality dogs for Show, Working & Pleasure. Dogs have been part of our life since childhood. When we met, Tim was showing his cocker spaniels, achieving great success, the late Sh Ch Glenbrows Raincloud JW (Theo) being awarded best of breed at Crufts 1999, and Honor showing english springer spaniels. The welsh springers joined us in 2001, after a visit to the late Jean Taylor, Ceri decided she was coming home with us!
The pugs and cavaliers have always been around, once you have lived with a pug, you can not imagine life without one! whilst the cavaliers are quiet gentle lap dogs which make fantastic pets.

Our dogs are PROVEN dual purpose girls but family pets first. We are assured breeders and Purdey (Glenbrows paper dawn at Graygees)is eye tested clear and has lower than breed average hip scores.Purdey is the only Glenbrows bred girl proven to be dual purpose, she continually wins and is placed at championship show level, although not campaigned much, she has won and been placed in working assessments and passed her bronze and silver good citizens awards before 12 months old. She also works on a pheasant shoot.
Super happy confident temperament, a true 'merry Welshie'! -

Our main breed is curly coated retrievers, but we also own Welsh springer spaniels and a Sussex Spaniel.
We have owned and bred UK, Irish and International champions. Our curlies and Welsh work on shoots and have competed in working tests.
ALL of our dogs are hip scored and eye tested. All of our showdogs are DNA profiled. Our CCR are also tested for GSD and EIC. They are also heart tested.
Occasional litter available from ourselves or sired by our stud dogs. -
