I have been involved with Weimaraners since 1987. I have shown many to their Show Champion titles & 3 to their full Champion titles as well as breeding a full champion. I believe that a Weimaraner should be able to do the job they were bred for & I try to adhere to this when breeding.
Throughout the shooting season, the dogs are shot over regularly, being used in a beating line and also as picking up dogs.

When breeding I will dock my puppies tails as long as the law allows me to. Each puppy will have a docking certificate to state they have been legally docked by my vet and also .... (click to read more)

Hello, I have loved dogs and grown up with dogs all my life. I was first mesmerised and entranced by the sheer grace and loving nature of the weimaraner as a young child. A family friend owned a silver/blue male weimy. As a small child he appeared to be a huge gentle giant, who regularly knocked me over, then led down next to me! However I still adored him.
I have had the pleasure of owning weimaraners for the last 19 years. Not an easy dog, but with, time, patience, commitment, consistency, determination, lots of love and an endless supply of titbits they are simply wonderful dogs!

  • Bastillian
    Nigel Wroe
    Fleet
    Hampshire
    Current Health Tests

We are now into our 15th year of our involvement with the Weimaraner.

The Weimaraner falls into the gundog subgroup of "dogs which hunt, point and retrieve", otherwise known as the HPR Group.

Accordingly we are of the firm belief that the Weimaraner should be allowed to exercise its natural instincts in the field through work or trials.

I breed only occasionally, when a puppy is desired for myself, and/or when there are genuine enquiries for puppies. In any event I breed with a primary focus on promoting the working characteristics of the breed. To this end great care .... (click to read more)

My Weimaraners are primarily pets and live in the house as part of the family. All are successfully shown and are also worked regularly throughout the shooting season. They have a few days on the grouse moors but they are mainly worked in the beating line on partridge and pheasant shoots.

I have been involved with dogs all my life, mainly Labradors and English Springer Spaniels. From a young age, I went beating and picking up on our neighbours shoot and I have always been interested in gundogs.
