My name is Roger Bayliss and I have been involved and fascinated by the Poodle since 1960 and have been an active breeder and exhibitor since 1965.

Dalehouse is a small select kennel of Dalmatians, Toy Poodles and Japanese Chin with over twenty seven years experience. I have been lucky to have had great success in the show world and have produced some excellent puppies. Temperament is very important to me when choosing to breed so stud dogs are carefully chosen. Puppies are home reared, well fed, insured, and wormed. Dalmatian puppies are BAER hearing tested, my Toy Poodles are Optigen PRA tested clear. She was the foundation bitch of champion stock of many winning dogs and the grandmother of Ch. Rognis Deliciously Special also Crufts Best Opposite Sex. After spending 2 1/2 years in the very hot & sunny Spain,helping out in dog rescue, the dogs have packed their cases and weve returned home to the lovely cool U.K. We made some fantastic friends in Spain and hope to keep in touch and occassionally return to help manage the rescue kennels.

All our boys and girls are pets & live in the house, not kennels and are fun happy little dogs with 100% excellent temperaments . Seven years ago i got my first toy poodle, Toby or Lord Tobias Jug as he likes to be known. This is where my love of the breed started. Although Toby has his problems i would not be without him after i suffered a serious neck injury i don't know what i would have done without him.
About a year later Angela (my sister) wanted a dog to take with her to her horses and she got Ebony a Schipperke, who is fondly known at home as a poodle wanabee. she queues up with the poodles when they get washed and groomed.

From a young age i always had a keen interest in animals. As the years passed my main passion in animals became dogs, in particular the poodle. My interest and knowledge in the poodle became more apparent when i was employed as a kennel hand in a local boarding and breeding kennel. Our girls and puppies are all Kennel Club Registered and have had health checks.
