We had our first black standard poodle puppy in 1993 and bred from her once, successfully in 1995.
We enjoyed the process of puppy rearing, so when we bought another black standard poodle bitch puppy in 2007 we decided we would have a litter from her.
Maseiddam Venus De Milo a black standard bitch, (Daisy), was born on 7th June 2007 . She is a jolly dog, very loving and loyal. She is also a very pretty dog and well made.

I have owned loved and shown Standard Poodles since the 1990's where I was first introduced to the breed when I worked as the manager of Aldington Boarding Kennels home of Kelrarmo standard Poodles. I still occasionaly show my poodles as well as judge and steward for a variety of breeds at open and championship level. Firstly they are treasured pets who see every walk we have together as a great adventure as they live for the minute and are just good fun to have around.

In the past I have owned a Cypriot Poodle (cross breed which i bought back from Cyprus at great expense) for 17 yrs and Cocker Spaniels,

Now have 2 large chocolate Standard Poodles and have never looked back, they have the best temperamants, are great individual charaters and are my best friends.

I run canix with Sacha all over the country(cross country running). which keeps us both very fit. Tia has just started :)

We only have puppies occasionally as usually this is when we need to add to our own Poodle family,All our Standard Poodles share our home. The puppies are whelped in their special box in the bedroom and at 3 weeks come downstairs to meet the other Poodles and humans,including grandchildren..and Manx cats to be socialised.

I left London for my first job in kennels in 1962 at the age of seventeen. I bought my first standard poodle in 1967 from the Sylphic Kennels and have bred and shown them ever since. All my dogs live in the house, puppies included, and I wouldn't have it any other way! All my dogs are now health tested and are bred first and foremost for temperament and soundness.

the amenities here for eye tests are VERY limited so we take our girls and boy to the animal health trust to have them eye tested they are given a ECVO cert which the Kennel club have a copy of but because its not BVA they cannot list it but can confirm it.
