    We have in our Kennel Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Shih-Tzus. Our first introduction to the Staffordshire Bull Terrier was in 2007 when we've bought our first SBT – Rudy Rio and year later we’ve started attending dog shows. To be honest we were absolutely impressed with this breed previously, but it took longer time to buy our first staffie.

    JOLIHEM - is a small family kennel and is the home of the record number of Staffordshire Bull Terrier Champions in the breeds country of origin. We now also have Mini Bull Terriers, English Toy Terriers (Black & Tan) and Border Terriers - as well as rescued dogs including ex-racing greyhounds... The Founders of Jolihem Staffords in the 1950s were Jo and Lionel Hemstock - Lionel's association with the breed began in the 1930s - before the breed was even recognised by the Kennel Club.     My husband and I have owned Staffords now for 15 years. At first our Staffords were family pets and spent many hours playing with our children, then approximately 12 years ago we got the showing bug and have been showing ever since. Our Staffords are pets first and formost, then show and breeding dogs second.
    All our dogs are genitically screened for L2-HGA and HC, they are all gentically clear. Our dogs are also tested for PHPV and are all unaffected.
    Our dogs live in a balanced pack- having an Alpha male as the leader and the rest of the pack as followers.

    I first became involved in Staffords in the seventies. My in-law owned an unregistered bitch and I decided I had to have one, but I didn’t have a clue where to buy one. I decided I would have to go to Crufts and talk to breeders, and that’s where it all started.
    I bought a bitch from Mr and Mrs Westwood, Nethertonion Country Miss - she was a daughter of a dog I liked the look of at Crufts ch Nethertonion Storm Trooper.
