    We are a small kennels based in Essex and share our home with 8 Spanish Water Dogs and 3 Slovakian Rough Haired Pointers. We are primarily a boarding kennels, so do not get a lot of free time to engage in all the activities these two wonderful breeds excel at, but when we do get time, we very much enjoy showing.

    we are the proud owners of eight spanish water dogs Paco,Diaga,Belita,Mateo, Nieve, Romeo, Maggi and duende, our dogs live in the house with us and are part of our family. We have owned swd,s since 2006 and our main hobbies with our dogs are showing and working them. Our dogs have been brought up within a family enviroment and with children and teenagers.
    Our aim is to breed happy healthy dogs with good temperaments and to keep the natural working ability of these amazing curly dogs. PUPPIES SOMETIMES AVAILABLE

    I was very lucky to have been one of the original Canagua partnership who imported the SWD into England 24 years ago.

    Sadly Dilita de Ubrique passed away at the age of 12 and her daughter Lydia (Canagua's Llamativo Senora) passed away at the wonderful age of 15 but I'm fortunate enough to have some of their wonderful offspring.     I have 2 Spanish Water Dogs as well as a Lurcher, we live in the Forest of Dean and they all love to run in the Forest. Trips to the coast of South Wales end in us all being very wet but happily tired after running on the beach, retrieving toys from the sea and sometimes I put on a wetsuit and swim with them.
    Spice and I train for Agility and are currently competing at Grade 2 she loves this discipline and it has been the making of her.

    We fell in love with the Spanish Water Dog after spending a lot time researching dog breeds, wanting a medium sized dog whom loves to learn, doesn’t shed hair (but they’ll bring back half the beach with them!) and with a loving personality we finally settled on a Spanish Water Dog.

    Truffle Came to live with us in Portsmouth in 2013 and has grown in to a confident dog who loves everyone. Loving to learn we currently undertaking gundog and water training and hoping to begin scent work in the future. We also show Truffle and are proud of her and her achievements.

    Alan and I have owned Spanish Water Dogs for 11 years. Our dogs live indoors and are a large part of the family.

    The SWDs love the water and fetching their toys from the waves. They are very intelligent and need to be occupied or they will find their own entertainment!

    I show the SWDs including my home bred Bob who gained TOP PUPPY in 2008 from the SWD club and Our Dogs. Gabriel and Stevie also gained joint top puppy (with each other) in 2010.

    Here at Lendever we own, train and work Spanish Water Dogs and Leonbergers. The two breeds are totally different from each other but they share our great interest, love and knowledge of the breed.

    We became hooked on SWD when we got our first rescue. We trained and rehabilitated this dog to show people what a fantastic breed it is and what can achieved from this magnificent breed.

    We brought our first Flatcoated Retriever as a family pet in 1987 to join in with our two very young children, a Labrador and a cat, because of him (Shadow) I have grown to love the breed and taken on a new hobby showing and working the breed with my husband Andrew.

    Mick & I have always had dogs in our lives.
    In the early 1990's I competed in Obedience with my Rottweiler Boysey who was a Fantastic dog and must say Tio reminds me of him in so many ways.
    Mick also had an interest in Rottweillers and owned 2, Zelli &Tiny.
    Tio was our 1st Spanish, followed by Ninya and then Luna who we imported from France.
    All 4 of our dogs have Fantastic temperaments and are a pleasure to own!
