Here at Lendever we own, train and work Spanish Water Dogs and Leonbergers. The two breeds are totally different from each other but they share our great interest, love and knowledge of the breed.

I was very lucky to have been one of the original Canagua partnership who imported the SWD into England 19 years ago.

Sadly Dilita de Ubrique passed away at the age of 12 and her daughter Lydia (Canagua's Llamativo Senora) passed away at the wonderful age of 15 but I'm fortunate enough to have some of their wonderful offspring. I am now concentrating on producing sound Spanish Water dog stock with good temperaments and all round ability, these dogs excel in many fields and are suitable for show,work or pets for people with time to let this breed do something be it physically or mentally challenging.

We are a small kennels,and all our dogs are tested for Hip Dysplasia and Glaucoma, our policy is to breed for type and temperament. We feel it is very important in this day and age that breeders, breed responsibly, and only from sound stock.
We have had some very good results around the show ring, and find that our dogs really enjoy the show ring, and the days out that come with that.

We brought our first Flatcoated Retriever as a family pet in 1987 to join in with our two very young children, a Labrador and a cat, because of him (Shadow) I have grown to love the breed and taken on a new hobby showing and working the breed with my husband Andrew.

The first home of the Spanish Water Dog in Derbyshire. We now have five SWD's. Our first dog Brio came from Diane Philipson in 2001. We fetched Coco from Spain in 2004. Wispa was bred by us in April 2008, a daughter of Coco, Xana, also bred by us in November 2008,a daughter to Brio and our latest addition is Chico, again bred by us, in 2010. A son of Coco, he is our new young stud dog.

Alan and I have owned Bearded Collies for 20 years and Spanish Water Dogs for 7 years. Living in the far north west of Scotland for a lot of the year, we enjoy walking our dogs on the vast expanses of sandy beaches. Our dogs live indoors and are a large part of the family.

The SWDs love the water and fetching their toys from the waves. They are very intelligent and need to be occupied or they will find their own entertainment!

We are a small kennel in South Cave, over looking the Yorkshire Wolds. At the moment we have Stan our Spanish Water dog available for stud to fully health tested bitches. Stan has a lovely personality with a fantastic temperament. He socialises well with people and dogs and likes nothing more than cuddles and affection.

Stan's hobbies are swimming at the beach, agility and sheep herding. All our dogs live indoors and are a large part of the family. His hip score is well below average and his eyes are clear.
