We have in our Kennel Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Shih-Tzus. Our first introduction to the Staffordshire Bull Terrier was in 2007 when we've bought our first SBT – Rudy Rio and year later we’ve started attending dog shows. To be honest we were absolutely impressed with this breed previously, but it took longer time to buy our first staffie.

I bought my first Afghan Hound in 1979 and have had them ever since, I began showing dogs in 1981 with my second Afghan hound and have owned and shown many both in partnership with others and outright. I bought my first Shih Tzu from the Dutch Fatinat al Sjark Kennel in 2003 and have had the these lines from the breed ever since only lightly showing my dogs due to ill health. I only breed to continue my programme so have only had two litters so far. We have had Shih Tzu for more than 30 years, although no longer breed. We have been breeding and showing CAZHMIR BLACK PUGS for only a few years, but our aim is to produce sound, healthy stock of the correct size with large, round dark eyes that do not protrude, very black single coats, good bone and excellent temperament. Our dogs all live in the house with us and are very much part of our everyday lives. We only have one or two litters a year that are reared with the utmost care, consideration, and attention to detail,in our home - by the AGA.

I first started showing dogs in 1976 and my most successful dog won Best In Show in 1980 at the Cleveland Dog Society Show with Readscar Adam (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). I stopped showing whilst raising my children and in 2006 bought my first Shih Tzu Show pup. Since then I have been attending Championship Shows and won second prize with Caserose Colour of Magic for Shionah at Crufts in 2010, after winning Best Puppy Dog at LKA in 2009. The Joyberna affix was originally granted to my mother, Joy Bird, in the early 1970's when she began her interest in showing/breeding miniature poodles. Our first Shih Tzu joined the household in approx.1974 and soon after, I became involved as a junior handler.
In 1979, we obtained our first Tibetan Terrier and the two breeds have lived side by side ever since.
I started judging in 1984 and now award CC's in both TT's & Shih Tzus.
