We have dogs for the show ring
and pets for the fun thing!
Tony and Karen [Katonier Shih Tzuís] are relatively new to the Showing World [5 years and counting..], and have the perfect blend of enthusiasm, passion and a willingness to pick up pearls of wisdom from those who have been showing for generations.
We belong to the niche of dog lovers that believe our Shih Tzuís are pets first and show dogs second. We love showing and are hugely competitive, but it would all be for nothing if we couldnít share the affection, fun and companionship of our Katonier Shih Tzuís.

Zuthis have shown and bred for a number of years with considerable success at home and abroad. Our dogs are all pets first and live in the house with us they are not kennel dogs. I have owned Shih Tzu since 2009.
My first Shih Tzu, a male, joined our family as a much loved pet.
I soon became besotted with the affectionate, playful character of the breed, so decided to get a playmate for him.
I found my second Shih Tzu, another male, 18 months later and not only was he a wonderful fun loving part of the family, I decided I would begin to show him.
We had success qualifying for Crufts five times during 2012 and again in 2013.
It's the best feeling, showing your dog at such a prestigious show as Crufts,

I am a small kennel in the north east of England. I was given an unwanted shih tzu 9 years ago and fell in love with the breed. I now show and occasionally breed a litter. I have had considerable success in the couple of years that I've been showing both at Championship, Club and Open shows. One of my girls Chyna was best puppy in breed at SKC August 2013 and Dizzi her older sister was 2nd post graduate bitch at Crufts 2014, at the moment I have 3 dogs qualified for Crufts next year and hoping the new puppy Zebedee follows in his sisters footsteps

Kenichi Japanese Akita Inu
Kenichi is a small show kennel based in Wales. We have been successfully showing our Japanese Akita Inu for five years. Our dogs are all very loved and cherished members of our family. We don't breed often, but when we do our puppies are raised in the home with constant love and attention, from health tested parents with excellent temperaments. We like to stay in touch with our babies and offer a lifetime of friendship and support.

I have a life long interest in the world of dogs and have bred and shown several breeds during my life. My favourite breed is the Shih Tzu and all my dogs live in the home as pets and are much loved members of the family. I have the interests of the Shih Tzu breed at heart, believing in and following the ethical guidelines of the Shih Tzu Club. I am interested in keeping a line of all UK/European bloodlines if possible and may occasionally have puppies available to knowledgeable homes.
I hope you enjoy this small showcase of my dogs.
