We have had Shih Tzu for more than 30 years, although no longer breed. We have been breeding and showing CAZHMIR BLACK PUGS for only a few years, but our aim is to produce sound, healthy stock of the correct size with large, round dark eyes that do not protrude, very black single coats, good bone and excellent temperament. Our dogs all live in the house with us and are very much part of our everyday lives. We only have one or two litters a year that are reared with the utmost care, consideration, and attention to detail,in our home - by the AGA.

We have dogs for the show ring
and pets for the fun thing!
Tony and Karen [Katonier Shih Tzuís] are relatively new to the Showing World [5 years and counting..], and have the perfect blend of enthusiasm, passion and a willingness to pick up pearls of wisdom from those who have been showing for generations.
We belong to the niche of dog lovers that believe our Shih Tzuís are pets first and show dogs second. We love showing and are hugely competitive, but it would all be for nothing if we couldnít share the affection, fun and companionship of our Katonier Shih Tzuís.

It all started back in 1977, when my husband George and I were trying for a family. We had a few problems along the way, and the medical staff advised us/me to take up a hobby!† And from that day forward, I took an interest in showing dogs.
My first dog was called 'Skippy', a grey/white male Shih Tzu from the ďSaledenĒ kennel in Carlisle. He did okay at open shows, but that was it - †I was hooked on dog showing!†
Christine Solesby ďMingroviaĒ affix had a litter of puppies which we went to look at, and along came 'Tammy' (Champion Mingrovia Elite Petite Of Tameron), a .... (click to read more)
Warathwaite Shih Tzu
We are a family in Cumbria who have begun to show Shih Tzuís. We have eight Shih Tzuís in the family, Holly, Kate, Harry, William, Grace, Anne, Henrietta and Mary. We are quite new to showing but love every second of it, just like the dogs. Our stud Harry has achieved a 2nd yearling at crufts. We occasionally breed litters from Holly and Kate who are both excellent mothers, our only desire is for their pups to find kind caring homes just like ours

Ms Dorothy M Taylor
I have a life long interest in the world of dogs and have bred and shown several breeds during my life. My favourite breed is the Shih Tzu and all my dogs live in the home as pets and are much loved members of the family. I have the interests of the Shih Tzu breed at heart, believing in and following the ethical guidelines of the Shih Tzu Club. I may occasionally have puppies available to knowledgeable homes.
I hope you enjoy this small showcase of my dogs.

We are a small kennel based in South Wales and have been showing Shih Tzus for eleven years with a considerable amount of success. Annie, our first show bitch, went on to become Ch. Cedarhythe Classic Design.
In 2007 we bred the top Shih Tzu puppy and in 2010 Lily was the second top Shih Tzu.
We have been awarded top breeders in 2013 and 2014.
We are Assurred Breeders with the Kennel Club, and breed for health and temprement. All our puppies are vaccinated and microchipped before leaving us.
We are based in Essex and are owners of bullmastiffs and shih tzus. I have had over ten years experience with the bullmastiff breed and have recently introduced the shih tzus into the family. All our dogs are use to a very busy household and have outstanding temperaments as a result. I have bred a recent litter with our Bonnie in order to continue her lines and she has produced quality pups which we will hopefully start showing with.

We have both adored this breed since childhood and were fortunate enough to obtain our first bitch (Lola) in 2014. Then in 2015 along came our first dog (Louie) and we have had much success in the show ring with both of them. We are both active members of all the main breed clubs and follow their strict guidelines. Michael is also on the committee for the Shih Tzu Club.
