We aim to breed healthy, happy shelties and
Kennel Club registered puppies of all colours are occasionally available to suitable, previously vetted homes.

Young adults may sometimes also be available.

All puppies are reared in the house and are well socialised whilst they are with us, getting used to all everyday noises and interacting with adults, children and other pets.

Our puppies are eye tested between 6 and 8 weeks of age and vet checked before leaving our home.

A little background about me :
I have been in the dog showing and breeding world for about 30 years on a small scale,
Starting of with Rough collies which I bred 4 Champions a number of years ago. But now I only have Shetland Sheepdogs.(Shelties) and one cavalier. That I enjoy showing on a small scale,
I only have a litter once in a while, when I need A puppy for myself to take in the show ring. My Dogs live in the house and are pets first and foremost.

Hello, We have always been lovers of Shetland sheepdogs and after trying to find the right breed for us we picked our first Shetland sheepdog Alaska. She has been the light of our life and is a perfect lap dog although she has the usual hardy side to her. We currently have 4 dogs in total we are getting our 5th in a few months time.

We live in a lovely village in near Clitheroe. Our dogs are kept and raised in home and loved like the members of the family they are.

We have been involved in Showing and training our shelties for over 7 years now. We are members of the ESSC and adhere to the Club's Code of Practice. We only breed occasionally as our shelties are our pets first and foremost. Our own dogs are eye tested, hipscored before they are bred from and we litter screen our litters for CEA before they go to their new home.

The adults are all pets first & foremost, being involved with the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme: Chester has his Gold, Ginty her Silver & Gizmo her bronze.

The girls are hip scored before having their first litter & are eye tested as adults.

All puppies are eye tested at 6/7 weeks of age & health checked before going to their new home.

The Milwyr Kennel has been successfully breeding Maremma Sheepdogs for over twenty years. Dogs bearing the Milwyr affix have won in excess of fifty CC's to date and the very successful Ch.Verner Milwyr, imported from Italy, is behind many of todays dogs. Vinnie ,as he was fondly known at home, is sadly no longer with us but his legacy lives on in his Champion sons and grandson. The breed is very healthy and we only need to hip xray our stock, all the Maremma sheepdogs at home, whether bred from or not, are hip xrayed and only dogs I consider of good enough temperament are bred from. We are a small kennels in the countryside, outside Ledbury, Herefordshire, with some well bred Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, started with a lovely foundation ruby bitch in in 1999 from our sister Kennels in Canada, Rivermead Kennels in Saskatewan, owned by my eldest daughter Mrs L. Saunders.
Also I keep Shetland Sheepdogs, which we have kept a trio since 1975, and can trace back from the beginning, our line of shetland sheepdogs pedigrees up to date.

We are a small kennel of show and agility dogs. I was born into dogs, my father owning German Shepherds and have always been around them. I got my first sheltie in 1978 when I was 8 years old after repeatedly pestering my parents for a "lassie" dog. I think they thought a sheltie would be a good substitute! Since that day I have never been without them. I share my home with 2 British working lines (straight backed long haired) GSDs, 7 border collies and 4 shelties.

I have started breeding as part of my agility hobby, hopefully having fun with my dogs and breeding some good agility lines. I don't currently show any dogs although may do so with young Mercury.

I started agility with my second GSD and now have a fabulous black working lines long haired GSD, Sophie, and her daughter, Buffy.

SOME BACKGROUND

I have been in the Dog showing and breeding world for about 30 years on a small scale, mostly with Shetland Sheepdogs.

I have bred and owned my own Champion dog ( Ch.Reubicia Orion) and also bred 2 more Champion dogs (Ch. Reubicia Blue Flame at Ruscombe) who went on to win Best of Breed at Crufts. He then went out to Sweden and became an International Champion.
Reubicia Over The Moon went to Finland and is at 2 years of age a Finnish Champion with 3 CC's and 7 Rcc's.
His niece is soon to join him.
